While the painting is rather nice, they did steal the idea from the Pittsburgh game when Holmes laid an awesome stiff-arm on some Burgh schmuck. Loses a few style points in my book for that. It does, however, gain a few style points for making the player in the painting a dirty donkey.

What?

Since when does an artist have to make everything up he does?
If Holmes did that and it was cool...capturing it is okay!!!

You rather made my point for me by saying that Holmes did it.

Holmes DID do it, not LJ, as depicted in the painting.

It's a blatent ripoff of this photograph.

It is a good painting, but looks too much like priest, from the facemask to body and running style.

Anyhow, I prefer a more painterly style.

Being of Italian (short i sound) descent, I am well aware of the correct spelling for capiche. It's obvious, as a n00b here, that you need a lesson in Chiefs Planet spelling, which you're about to get in the next post ...

In other words, you should have kept your uninformed yap closed.

You can pull that crap on the DC board but it won't fly here.
Anyhow, I prefer a more painterly style.

I don't speak Italian except for a few phrazzes....to use with my Nona who is dead...and I could never really write it either. But I wanna learn some,'cause I'd like to spend a month in Italy cooking and doing art stuff.

I did however, study French for 12 years.

Cool! I'd love to rent a country villa with some friends in Tuscany or Umbria and travel around... do a most of what I want in Florence but also Rome, Lombardy and Piedmont regions...Venice too. I have family in Sicily. I don't want to do it too touristy though...but stay awhile.

That was my first guess and I also checked it...wasn't even in my French dictionary. I also thought it could have been that as I figured it had to be an idiom because it doesn't translate directly.
Oh well, it's been over what 15 years since I've used the darn language.
