I live in clinton and was up there till about 2 last night. I knew most people in there, all great people. Prayers go out to all the families. Seeing it in person makes it even harder to believe that most survived.

My roomate's from Clinton, so we were pretty amazed that this made CNN.
He knew most of the people involved. I guess the guy that died was the "Exalted Leader" of the Elk's Lodge who was on the 3rd floor preparing his speech.
Anyway, the building's been there for about 100 years and that downtown is very rich in history, so It's unfortunate on that level too. The pharmacy (Cummings) at the ground floor had been in the local news lately because of a movement to support it instead of the new Walgreens that had come to town.
He thought that the building was overloaded with junk on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Pool tables, furniture, the 50+ people.

The pharmacy is actually kreislers, cummings is a menswear store. Olde glory days is this weekend and they are the main sponser and they just celebrated thier 100th anniversary. Very sad
