I've seen him do it without stuff in front of him so that's only one way to do it. He's pretty good too.

I think I saw David Blaine do that from the front too...obviously not as high, just floating a few inches...pretty cool illusion.

Actually its from the back and side. Its called the Balducci Illusion and I've done it before. It does freak people out...

I'm sorry, but he made a lady disappear in a wooden box on a concrete ground with people surrounding them....they picked up all the wood after they broke it open and she was gone and everything...I have no idea how that can be an illusion. It was outside too, so no wires or cables. It's been driving me crazy ever since I saw it.

I watched David Copperfield take a woman from the audience, and fly all over the theater with her...they flew through a hoop...if there were lines attached, I don't see how people in the crowd would not have seen the connection...that one always made me think...
