The reason they gave...

"I put them there cause they can't tackle..."

This got me thinking, how much can a Cover 2 scheme change this? Or Ty Law, or our new Draftees.

Moooo

Edited to add, Raiders were 32nd, Chargers were 31st, and Denver was 19th. So we're not alone in our division, and are actually second best!

Knight and Surtain are excellent tacklers, so he is half wrong.

Knight wasn't a good tackler against the Giants. But then again nobody was.

They should have said "Because their free saftey can't cover, and they only have one starting cornerback."

Then I guess that should be a valid mark down for EVERY secondary that LJ ran over, because they were not very good a tackling him either!! GO CHIEFS

I sympathize with any team that is ranked below us.

Can't really argue until we actually play some D.

Surtain is a good tackler, Warfield was, but the rest of our secondary was porous against the run imo. Wesley would lay the wood now and then, and so would Knight on occasion, but they both miss way too many tackles completely.

Think Mike Anderson vs. Wesley in the open field. I mean, sure - it's the running back's battle to win, but to completely embarrass him like that? MIKE ANDERSON?

The thing that jumps out to me about these rankings is that the Patriots somehow managed to get ranked as #14 in RBs, #11 in pass catchers, and #10 in pass defense. I wonder how long it will take for ESPN to stop overrating the Patriots.

I agree. The RB ranking isn't all that much of a stretch with Maroney and the assumption that Dillon returns to productive form, but the pass catchers and pass defense rankings are a joke.

Watson is solid, Branch is decent and then there are a bunch of "meh" role players. #11? Right.

The pass defense ranking is the worst. I don't care if Deacon Jones returns to that front 7 - the secondary sucks pole and, until proven otherwise, deserve no mention in the top-20.

How on Earth is San Fran ahead of us when they totally sucked.
