View Full Version : Dr. Z says he'll vote for DT to the HOF this year

I know Dr. Z is a pompus ass. But he knows football. The Thinking Man's Guide to Professional Football was an instant classic when it came out in the '70s. If Dr. Z is on the DT love train, I have a feeling it will pull into Canton this year.

I'd post the article but its spread over several pages. I'm lazy.

Why so long to do the obvious.

I'm not worried if he doesn't this year or not... There's not a doubt in my mind he'll be in there eventually. Though hopefully it will be this year coming up...

I think Derrick Thomas, the K.C. sack machine who has lost out for the last two years as a finalist, will get my vote this time.

That's all he said about DT as far as I could tell

Why so long to do the obvious.

Lots of strong competition his first two years. Of this year's class, Bruce Matthews might have an outside shot of being a first year guy. Terrell Davis might get in enventually, but no way are they going make him a first ballot guy due to his short career.

I still get ticked off hearing about Troy Aikman and Harry Carson being considered over DT and Deron Cherry.

That's a good thing. It means that he thinks DT is an obvious choice.

Bo Jackson is still IMO the greatest RB of all time. And yes I'm basing this off of Tecmo Bowl so no one can argue to this. :p

If Terrell "I ran in Shanarats system where even GoChiefs would have a 1,000 yard season" gets in before DT, then I have lost all faith in this voting system for the Hall.

Before the donkeys had Davis, they didn't have any backs worth a Damn . That's supposedly why Horseface was never able to win it all without Davis.

The Rat became the Donkey HC in '95, just in time to draft Davis.

You could do similar things in Joe Montana Sports Talk Football for Sega.

Edited to add: Does anyone see any similarities between Bo and LJ?

I was all ready to call LJ the next Bo but Bo runs more like Payton.

This actually looks more like Tiki Barber vs. the 2005 chiefs -efense.

He'd probably want LT to... this is a bad idea.

My guess is someone from the Chiefs D during that time who he was friends with, or coaching staff. Someone who knew him not only as a friend, but as a football player.

I just hope the guy gets in before his mother dies. It would be a shame for her not to see her son get inducted.

I'd be okay with that, except I hate the tone of his voice and his smile...

I didn't know the personal DT to know who his lockerroom friends were and whatnot. I dont know if Gun is a candidate or not, he was his coach at his untimely departure from life.

I think Carl could be more eloquant and a better speaker all around. Carl has the refinement to do DT some justice.

Oh Hell NO!

Gunt would get emotional, spittle would be flying from his mouth, snot from his nose, and he'd start crying.

Nobody wants to see that.

And nobody wants to be at the front of the crowd during that.
