I KNOW IT'S THE OFFSEASON!! So don't give me that excuse. When I first became a member even the off season was heavy on the chiefs but now? Two threads on the front page that actually have something to do with chiefs football. I'm not even saying it should be all chiefs all the time but as a fan who recently moved out of KC I depened on the planet to keep me informed. Maybe I'm over reacting but it sure seems like the planet has changed.

This offseason has been as slow as any in recent memory.

Add the fact that the people who cover the Chiefs do as bad a job as any writers out there, it makes for a slow news cycle for the Chiefs.

It has evolved, like any community will over time. As people have been around we've gotten to know one another and share similar interests. I love Chiefsplanet for the very reason that I can go one place to get the latest Chiefs news, current events, funny anticdotes, pictures of scantily clad women, and heartfelt pleas for advice.

No, it didn't. This has been rehashed and debated frequently over the years. It is what it is. Why change a good thing? If it's not a good fit for you there's half a dozen other boards out there who limit discussion to the Chiefs.

A complete lack of real news and the fact that they are done with OTA (?) until training camp start has a lot to do with it.

I'd expect Chiefs news to pick up once TC starts. Heck, the RSS feed from the KC Star is only showing two items, so the don't even have anything to say.

It just seems someone starts a thread like this about once a month.

I think you should just start a football related thread if none of the topics on the front page interest you.

Shoot this started during the regular season!
I have noticed that for a while now people on the planet would rather talk about what beer they are drinking tonight over and over and over again, getting poop stuck in the hair of thier butts, etc than to talk about Chiefs football!
Oh and god forbid that you post a subject about the Chiefs that someone else has posted that just happens to be on page 3 with some thread title that doesn't go with the actual story. Yeah this place is nothing nearly as good as it once was but it is still pretty good. A person just has to go through a few more hoops than they use to.

There has always been some level of humor in the fact that people complain about the lack of Chiefs talk by starting a thread that doesn't involve any talking about the Chiefs.

Gunther Cunningham To Undergo Experimental Surgery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham has been admitted to a local hospital to undergo emergency testosterone reduction surgery.

General manager Carl Peterson said he expects Cunningham to make a full recovery. “The Kansas City Chiefs are pleased to announce that Gunther Cunningham has agreed to undergo a new, experimental procedure intended to reduce the defensive coordinator’s testosterone. Over the course of the last few weeks, we’ve noticed that Gunther has attempted to insert his extremely erect penis into the rectal areas of several defensive players. After consultation with our team physicians and outside specialists, we’ve determined that this is the best course of action for the team, Gunther, and the community as a whole.”

Doctors overseeing the defensive coordinator's procedure were unavailable for somment. However, one defensive player who spoke on the condition of anonymity said, “You can’t take it personally with Gun,” the player said. “He wants to stick that thing in you, but you have to realize that it’s just the way he is. It's a little hard on the rookies and it's unsettling and doesn’t feel real good, but hopefully this surgery will solve the problem.

Cunningham is expected to return to his role with the Chiefs prior to training camp in River Falls. "We're looking forward to a kinder, gentler Gunther Cunningham to help us get to the playoffs," said Head Coach Herm Edwards, "and, last time I checked, this is the best way to get that done."

I KNOW IT'S THE OFFSEASON!! So don't give me that excuse.

There's one company now you can sign up and you can get a movie delivered to your house daily by delivery service. Okay. And currently it comes to your house, it gets put in the mail box when you get home and you change your order but you pay for that, right.

But this service isn't going to go through the interent and what you do is you just go to a place on the internet and you order your movie and guess what you can order ten of them delivered to you and the delivery charge is free.

Ten of them streaming across that internet and what happens to your own personal internet?

I just the other day got, an internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday and I just got it yesterday. Why?

Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the internet commercially.

So you want to talk about the consumer? Let's talk about you and me. We use this internet to communicate and we aren't using it for commercial purposes.

We aren't earning anything by going on that internet. Now I'm not saying you have to or you want to discrimnate against those people [...]

The regulatory approach is wrong. Your approach is regulatory in the sense that it says "No one can charge anyone for massively invading this world of the internet". No, I'm not finished. I want people to understand my position, I'm not going to take a lot of time. [?]

They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.

It's a series of tubes.

And if you don't understand those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and its going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.

Now we have a separate Department of Defense internet now, did you know that?

Do you know why?

Because they have to have theirs delivered immediately. They can't afford getting delayed by other people.

[...]

Now I think these people are arguing whether they should be able to dump all that stuff on the internet ought to consider if they should develop a system themselves.

Maybe there is a place for a commercial net but it's not using what consumers use every day.

It's not using the messaging service that is essential to small businesses, to our operation of families.

The whole concept is that we should not go into this until someone shows that there is something that has been done that really is a viloation of net neutraility that hits you and me.
