I'm quite sure Nzoner, Dinny, and I (together--my kick will be aimed just below the belt buckle) can take you, Zach....as long as those 'superchick' friends of yours don't try to bail you out. Sorry, y'all.

Mayhaps my point was lost in my feeble attempt at humor.

At the risk of goin' Ann Landers....

Kicking someone's ass at a party, IMO, is like seeing a girl you like at a party, conking her over the head with a club, and dragging her off by the hair.

Far more socially acceptable would be a Rock/Paper/Scissors match, perhaps best of three. The biggest one has an equal chance as the smartest one, so there is no clear cut advantage based on physical/mental abilities. Unless there have been multiple matches between particular opponents and tendencies have been charted.

Getting your ass kicked by Jack Daniels at a party is generally acceptable, unless you knock over the host's aquarium and start swallowing fish, then yak in the designated driver's car on the way home.

Having typed that..

Maybe it's because I'm the host but I really see our get together as offering much more than a house party. The food and beer is not donated thus it's not like we're making money hand over fist on this thing.

Not to say anyone is wrong in thinking differently because this is just my opinion but I think any of us who spend anytime in a sports bar should see the value in what we're offering for a 12+ hour day and night get together.

I would ask that if others feel this way they would step forward now and say so,as I've already put a fair amount of work into this thing and if it's not going to fly than I'd just as soon know now.

Believe me I realize things are a little tough all over but Arrowhead wants over $100 per person for a 3 hour tailgate with food and ticket only, the beer is extra. Our weekend with a ticket comes in less and includes all you can drink, unlimited trips to the buffet over 12 hours, the gameroom etc.Granted,if we have an organized tailgate we may be looking at $10 more but I hope you're seeing my point.

Lastly in regards to the charity my mrs has worked her butt off in helping with 37 Forever and since we weren't doing that this year I felt this would be a decent way to help her in return.

Personally,I'd like to ask for everyone's opinion on this that is already and/or planning on attending.

Thanks

I'm really having a hard time rapping my mind around the concept of why Joe or anybody else here would give a shit who you like or don't like. Joe isn't hosting this party for you, or me, or any single person here. It's for ALL OF US. He'll have enough on his plate opening his home to all of us without worrying about your hurt feelings.

you're rearranging your "real life" social activities around some Internet bully hurting your feewings.

My "real life" won't be rearranged...I will go to work daily, spend time with my wife and kids, drink some Crown, enjoy the Chiefs...ect.

It's NOT about my feelings. It's about someone that I'd love to rearrange, but out of respect for Nzoner, and his lovely wife....I do have to question my attendance at a function. Surely even you understand respect....don't ya??

Believe me, my feelings are NOT hurt, I am pissed. Surely someone of your intelligence can understand the difference.

BTW, have a lovely day.....but quit guessing about things you know not of......

[QUOTE=ROYC75]****************************************************** Personally, ANYBODY who can not attend this funtion or ANY funtion amongst Chiefs fans for a good cause because of some inmature pitty pat fued needs to look in the mirror at the problem. There isn't any reason( except financial,or family pre set outings ) as far as I'm concerned to not attend. These BB's are nothing but a way to have fun and express our opinions of certain topics. To fued over BB material is to act inmature. ******************************************************
QUOTE]

I appreciate your opinion, and thank you for sharing. However, you don't know much about the situation. If you believe that it is "pittypat" then ask Phobia, or some of these other guys how blown out of proportion things can get. With that in mind...I respect Nzoner and his home. If I chose to be a prick to some that have been so to me....I will, just not at Nzoners home.

It is not immature to decide to respect someone like Nzoner.

By the way...an immature pitty pat internet action would be....oh calling someone a bitch on line. I don't think that would give me a moments ill will......

Hijacking a thread that is promoting an event that is raising money for a worthy cause to call out a bunch of people that 99.9% of us could give a shit less about.

It is a pity that some people may make you feel bad about your efforts. PM your address to me and I will send a donation even though it is highly unlikely I will attend. Also please Thank your wonderful wife for her efforts.

Wow, now that you mention it, I guess there is a lot of immature pitty pat internet action on bb's.

I apologize for the swerve(it's really not a hijacking, since it is related to the subject). I stated my dislike for them and it related to my attending the event. I thought that Nzoner addressed it very well. I would have been done with the subject, if Endelt hadn't gotten so interested.

You are so very right..nobody would notice if I don't attend. The Nzoner event is legendary and at a party like that...I don't believe many that don't attend will be missed.

Thanks

Add myself and the wife to the confirmed list.
