Jeez, there are some high scoring/blowouts today. Cardinals are getting smoked by the Braves 14-4 in the 8th.

And there is our usual, untimely, take away the double play passed ball\wild pitch

petegz28

Great D on that play. Poetic Justice that the free pass the umps gave the twins gets shot at the plate

Hitting streaks are misleading. If you go 0-? but have a SAC FLY then I think that should count for something.

DeJesus may no thave a hit but he has a huge RBI and SAC FLY ..hate to see his hitting streak end though

Over. Should have been a sweep of the hottest team in baseball.

I was thinking about that this afternoon. But, hey, despite the ugly, backsliding meltdown on Monday, I'll take a series win over the Twins.

They've been playing solid, competitive baseball for the last few weeks. That's a good first step towards changing the losing culture that's seems to have ingrained itself in the franchise for the last few years.

I don't know, but they are making the Royals fun to watch lately. Despite the record of course, they have been playing solid baseball lately.

I almost feel like the season has become moderately successful, in kind of a warped way. We got some changes made in the front office that should help things in the future, and now the team is at least entertaining in stretches. I think that's all we could have hoped for anyway to start the season- that they would play some competitive ball and sort things out as the season went along.

Sweeps be damned... any series win we can get I will take.

I think they've won four out of the last five series - losing only the Cincinnati series. Not bad at all.

It'll be interesting to see how long that can be sustained. It's enjoyable watching them for the first time this season.
