It is 108 degrees in Norman, Oklahoma. This is absolutely ridiculous. There is no end in sight. I can't wait to move. On top of that, my rent house has hardly any insulation and my air conditioner is struggling. I know why people kill other people now.

Not that hot here, it's 98 and feels like 104 (40% humidity).

I love it. Bring it on!

Mooo, you are one crazy SOB.

Last year was crazy.

It was 103, heat index of 109 I think, and the heater was stuck on in my car. I couldn't pull the fuse cause it would make something else go out, and I had to keep the fan on low cause the electric fan for my engine wouldn't go unless the vent was on.

That was too much. I got dizzy and had to pull over and get a gatorade. But other than that, I LOVE SUMMER!!!

I think I need to move to Florida, or Phoenix.

Wow it doesn't even get that hot here...and then I can always catch a breeze off the Gulf, float in my pool or remain inside central AC! :)

Sounds like it's time for a new ride. From the little time I've spent in Phoenix, I came to the conclusion that I would hate living there.

Yeah, but you have to live in Washington. Your NBA team is leaving and the Mariners have never won anything.

Actually, I'm a little jealous. Washington seems like a nice place.

You could move to San Diego but the median price for a house is $490,000. My neighbors complain about it being hot if it gets over 80. I just want to slap them silly. What a bunch of pussys.

I got a job offer in Reno, Nevada.

I'm seriously considering it.

They may fly me out next week.

Anyone ever been?

All you have to do is go down to OU's campus to the new National Weather Center building and politely ask them to turn down the heat via their weather controlling devices. They're more than accomodating--they just never get asked...

The best part about Reno is that Lake Tahoe is about an hour away. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

However your request might fall on deaf ears if you go there wearing a Texas, Nebraska, or OSU t-shirt.

I was a part of that meteorology department for three years... so I have the insdie scoop... if someone does that, we just strap them to the mobile radar dish for a few rotations...

One of my best friends is a big SEC fan... we have had several debates over which is the better conference for football--Big XII or SEC--they usually end with me beating the tar out of him and declaring myself the victor...

Well, the best joke I've ever heard (from a Miami fan) was:

"You can't spell second, without SEC"

I obviously disagree, but its still funny.

I take Bama over Auburn, so I haven't been screwed yet.

I consider myself a Vols fan more than anything, but I'll watch the Gators too (I know that goes against all logic...)

I've always had a soft spot for Bama, though. Just as long as it isn't Auburn or Georgia.

BCS seems fine to me, but they need to get rid of the other polls. Just have one. Its whenever there's something to compare it to that it looks so bad. Plus, last time I checked no ranking can put 3 teams on the field in the same game.

I hear you on the fall, the number one season in my book as well. :) I would rather deal with -20 than + 105. You can always put on another coat, but what in the hell do you do when it's 105 and have to be outside, rip off your skin? I hate the weather when it gets this hot. Half the damn state is on fire and no rain in the forecast. :shake:
