Everything I have read about this Webb kid gets me pretty excited as to his potential. Not so much on the "Mississippi Lineman."

Webb was a badass at SDSU.

That is what I have read, big and has great skills. Just not to fast, more of a possession type receiver.

Ditto, but I am very interested to see Webb in TC. Prolly gonna come down to him or McIntyre for a roster spot. I'm still hoping this only 4 WR thing isn't the case, think we need at LEAST 5 WRs.

Jarrad Page is not a baseball done deal yet....

No deal: Negotiations have stalled with Jarrad Page, the Angels' seventh-round pick in this year's draft. Page, a UCLA defensive back who was also drafted in the NFL's seventh round by the Kansas City Chiefs, apparently is having second thoughts about a predraft agreement.

"If we got him in a certain round, the money would be dictated by what round we got him in -- that did not hold up," scouting director Eddie Bane said. "They changed their mind after the draft without telling us. The deal is basically dead in the water now."

Page, who concentrated more on football than baseball with the Bruins, hit .233 in 101 at-bats as a sophomore and .149 in 120 at-bats as junior. He hit four home runs with 20 RBIs over his two years on the baseball team, but Bane said Page has power, speed and a better-than-average arm.

"He didn't play much at UCLA, but we saw him play enough," Bane said. "He has ability and certainly has those tools, those skills."

I agree.

But I think that the WR position is the one that will be sacrificed in order to keep four QBs on the roster.

Hermie may just have inadvertently given us a glimpse into his thought process when he made that statement about keeping only four WRs.

That's been my thinking all along as well. Only other reason might be to carry extra DBs, to continue evaluation.
