Please be honest. I suppose it'd be more accurate to ask, "How often is your carpet vacuumed?"

Thanks.

I'm guessing he's just asking the question so he knows what is an acceptable time to wait before cursing and throwing beer bottles at the wife.

Once a week.

Course we have a robotic vaccum, which makes it a little less of a hassle.

Mine gets vacuumed every couple of days, usually in the morning when I am trying to get ready for work. That noise is such a pleasant way to start the day.

I don't really know, habit maybe, I have kids, I have nice carpet, it's fairly new, it's light colored...I am sure you are gonna tell me why I do, right??

Roomba Red (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00022HYIM/qid=1153267520/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-9758751-9768662?s=kitchen&v=glance&n=284507)

It's called Roomba red...they make several different models. This one is the entry level.

It does a fair job picking up loose stuff. We use it on pile carpet and linoleum.

Since this is the cheap model it only comes with one virtual wall and it takes several hours to charge.

The upscale models have more virtual walls and even a docking station...it knows to go back and charge itself up.

We have a long hair cat so it gets a good workout and does a pretty fair job.

The down side is it will take a few months to use it the way it should be used meaning set it and forget it. At first you'll just want to watch it, and root for him to pick up stuff....."he's gonna get it this time...there...wait...wait....YEA ROOMBA, you got it".

Ok, so don't drink beer like I did when I first bought it.

Second downside is you have to clean it out every time you use it. No big deal really, and it would be a lot less of a deal if you didn't have a long hair cat.

Cool.

My wife just ordered this one: http://www.amazon.com/Electrolux-EL520A/dp/B0001ZYYYM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_k2a_1_txt/102-8464485-3189739?ie=UTF8

Seems a little pricey for a vacuum, but WTF.

The Roomba? Is it the Roomba? I really liked my Roomba, but it got displaced by cheap foreign labor last year.

I'm pretty sure they don't make a Roomba that will pick up that blobbing mess.

It's a good thing the photo was taken before the drool stains, or you'd be in tears about now...

Twice a month, whether we need it or not. I don't do it, neither does my wife actually. We're compatible slobs. We have found that with a long haired dog, if you wait long enough the hair will form into tumbleweeds and roll in to corners. Then we just pick up the hair balls. Quite easy really.

Indeed.

* Edit - Upon closer consideration, those lines are rather haphazard. When I vacuum, I do so with absolute precision and my vacuum lines are perfectly square. That carpet looks like it was vacuumed by a retarded lemur.

Donger, how in the hell do you think up shit like this? You really need to find a hobby. Oh, and what the hell kind of name is Donger? I actually heard it on a 610 sports radio ad. Our animals live outside, we have a short nap carpet, and I vacume when it needs it.

How do I think of vacuuming? Well, I'm a clean freak. I was curious to see where I rank on the vacuum freakness scale.

You really need to find a hobby.

I have a hobby: I collect molds, spores and fungus.

Oh, and what the hell kind of name is Donger?

I've got a large cock. So large that I typically lose consciousness when achieving erection.

Do you have another suggestion of what my username should be?

Our animals live outside, we have a short nap carpet, and I vacume when it needs it.

And, how often does it 'need it'?

Haha! Thats funy right there. I vacume whenever the mold, spores, and fungus are at least 2 to 3 inches high, causing us to trip over them. As for a user name for you, hmmm....How about "Captain Obsessive Compulsive" ? Or COC for short?
