Who do you got? Tiger will be playing along side Nick Faldo on Thursday and Friday and apparently they don't get along. That should add an element of interest to the tournament. Phil Mickelson is coming off of his choking 18th hole at Winged Foot. Will Ernie Els show up? What about Sergio Garcia? Colin Montgomerie has been playing well and the gallery will be very supportive of him. Let's not forget Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh and the other lefty Mike Weir. The golf course is burned out, brown, hard as concrete. It's a shot makers golf course. All the greats will be there, it's anyones tournament. If I had to pick one I'd go with Tiger. I think his dislike for Nick Faldo will motivate him.

You and 1.5 million others (including myself). You can bet the farm that the networks that cover these get down on their knees on Wednesday night and pray to God, Allah, Tom Cruise, etc. that Tiger will be there on the weekend. It kills the ratings when he's not in contention.

I read in my local fishwrap last week that he was a bit unprepared and was 'cramming' the last couple of weeks to get ready to play--he's pretty much retired and in the booth these days--and the fact he's playing with Grrr didnt help is prepartions.

3-4 years ago I would say your right and it would probably be over by Saturdays round. But now I am not so sure. He is still able to light it up, but from what I have seen over the last few years it will probably be a close race till the last round.

He said he changed his swing for the better, but I don't know. He hasn't has nearly the production he had 3 to 4 years ago. He career has barely started and the swing change was most likely a for-the-future thing. He's the best ever when he's on.

Yea I expect it to be close, but I'm pretty sure Tiger will be one of the players that will be in contention and I have no idea who he'll be in contention with. He made very few mistakes today. He seems to be back on his game right now. But it's golf, anything can happen. It was fun to watch today. I hope it stays close.

Tiger has an early start tomorrow, which should help for a low score. Early tee-off should still have some damp greens, and the winds will not pick up until he is done his round.

I know it's not going to happen, but wouldn't it be funny if Mickelson never won another major after his meltdown? He's too talented not to win another one, but I could see him going two or three years without a major. The pressure is back on him and it could be like trying to win his first one all over again.
