View Full Version : And the meek shall inherit the earth.......

A modern-day warrior
Mean mean stride
Today's Tom Sawyer
Mean mean pride

Though his mind is not for rent
Don't put him down as arrogant
His reserve, a quiet defense
Riding out the day's events

Science like nature must also be tamed.
With a view towards its preservation

Jack, relax
Get busy with the facts
No zodiacs or almanacs
No maniacs in polyester slacks
Just the facts
Gonna kick some gluteus max
It's a paralax ya dig
You move around
The small gets big, it's a rig
It's action
reaction
random interaction
So who's afraid of a little abstraction
Can't get no satisfaction from the facts
Ya better run homeboy
A fact's a fact from Nome to Rome boy

What's the deal?
Spin the wheel
If the dice are hot, take a shot
Play your cards show us what ya got
What you're holdin
If the cards are cold don't go foldin
Lady luck is golden
She favors the bold that's cold
Start throwin stones
The night has a thousand saxaphones
So get out there and ROCK AND ROLL THE BONES!!!!!
Get busy.

This has gotten lengthy so I won't bog the board down by going further. I could though without a doubt. Thank you to Rush for making over 30 years of the best music for my ears on the face of this earth.

Edit: It's a shame my pictures didn't post.

Agreed, this board isn't big enough for all of the great rush lyrics and sounds that exist.

Imagine a time when it all began
In the dying days of a war
A weapon that would settle the score
Whoever found it first would be sure to do their worst
They always had before...

Imagine a man where it all began
A scientist pacing the floor
In each nation, always eager to explore
To build the best big stick
To turn the winning trick
But this was something more...

[Chorus:]
The big bang took and shook the world
Shot down the rising sun
The end was begun and it hit everyone
When the chain reaction was done
The big shots tried to hold it back
Fools tried to wish it away
The hopeful depend on a world without end
Whatever the hopeless may say

Imagine a place where it all began
Gathered from across the land
To work in the secrecy of the desert sand
All of the brightest boys
To play with the biggest toys
More than they bargained for...

[Chorus]

Imagine a man when it all began
The pilot of 'Enola Gay'
Flying out of the shockwave on that August day
All the powers that be, and the course of history
Would be changed forevermore...

Our local record store is having a blowout sale of Rush CDs. They had at least three albums on sale for $7.99 or $9.99. Should I buy one?

Is that the song that has the words, "Choppin' broccoli! You're choppin' broccolihee!"?

None, because if you attach multiple images they only show up as links.

Manhattan Project, seriously underrated song. It's one of my top 5 Rush songs! Good pick.
