View Full Version : Question about cell phones.

Okay, so during a study break, I decided to look at more organizers/PDAs, and I found a PDA I want to get. Its even a cell phone also. Just when I didn't think it could get any better, I find one on eBay for really cheap!

Okay, my question is this: Can I take an old, used cellphone that was used under the same provider I had (i.e. it was a Cingular Treo or Blackberry) by another person, and have it re-activated to my number? If that would work I could get one of these nifty, but used ones, keep the same plan and minutes I have, and not skip a beat!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Moooo, who's going back to studying

as long as the person you are purchacing the PDA from has released it from their account then yes you can swap SIM cards and it will work -

you would need to call cingular and give them your Serial Numbers as well as possibly adding a data package to your account hope this helps
