So, being a KC native, and moving back to Springfield I was nothing short of ELATED to find out the Cents is alive and kicking here in Springfield.

So I ask all of you out there: are you guys are down with Mr.Goodcents? Truthfully, if I'm gonna eat out and I've got the money in my pocket, I'm going there.

If you don't, WHY NOT!?! I can't fathom why, but you have to have a reason.

Mr. Goodcents is awesome, their sandwiches are a hell of a lot bigger than Subway. They dont have "6 inch" and "12 inch", I dont know how big the sandwiches actually are, but if you order their whole sandwich expecting to get a 12 inch, you better be hungry or prepared to stick the uneaten portion in the fridge for later.

The pasta is cool, too.

8" and 16" Respectively

The meat is freshly sliced (while you're there), along with the 6 different cheese selections. Oh yeah, they also have the softest bread, IMO.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. When I ate at subway I didnt know any better, but when I went to Mr. Goodcents, I thought the fact that they grab a huge hunk of meat and cheese to slice some fresh for you was a nice touch. With subway, who the hell knows how long their pre-sliced stuff has been laying around, or if they even slice at the store?

My friend worked at the good cents in springfield. He said sometimes that meat would sit in the truck all day in the heat and he knew it where that meat would be. He had to stop himself from laughing whenever people are like "look honey freshly cut" nevermind the fact that they dropped the entire load of meat on the ground in the back

Same in Iowa, at the local casino and racetrack in Des Moines, your basically going to play 3/6 limit, or 1/2 no limit.

The rake is brutal, about twice as high as online poker rooms. You can only make money if your SIGNIFICANTLY better than the table, ie your a pro, or everyone else is an idiot. At least you have a decent fighting chance online if your good.

? All I know is Ameristar has 3 dollar tables and I wish they had 2 dollar ones. I love the action but hate the stakes (I just like to have fun).

They need to put a Mr. Goodcents in Ameristar!!! Combined with Arthur Bryants it would then be Moooo's favorite place to EVER EAT!

That's the casino I went too, Harrah's is even worse.

Ameristar is nice, Arthur Bryant's kicks ass.

I hit the high hand one day, which was sweet...I had AQ of hearts and the flop came 10JK of hearts...first royal flush ever and I've been playing poker religiously for the past 4 years.

The best chain sub shops...

1. Jersey Mikes. East coast style, with an italian signature sub.
2. Planet Sub. Great bread, great selection of sandwiches.
3. Jimmy Johns. Not that great of a variety of meats/fixins, but decent.
4. Mr Goodcents. I avoid it for the most part, but at least they slice their meat fresh, unlike Subway. They barely put any meat on the sandwiches.

Avoid:
Subway. Overpriced SHIT. Flash frozen, pre-packaged meats. Only considered good because of the marketing, or people who don't know any better.

Quiznos: See above, but they put the oils and dressings directly on the bread, which makes it taste like shit. "Toasted" doesn't mean anything but a torn up roof of your mouth.

If you are ever in Atlantic City, try "The White House", best subs in the country. If you are ever in Topeka, let me know, and I can make you the equivalent of a White house sub. ;)

Who in the right mind puts SALAD DRESSING on bread?Salad dressing was a staple of the clasic hero/submarine sandwich. But it was usually an oil based dressing.

Now ranch has become one of the four food groups.

I hate sandwiches at New York delis, too much ****ing meat on the sandwich, it's like a cow with a cracker on either side. "What would you like, sir?" "A pastrami sandwich." "Anything else?" "Yeah, a loaf of bread and some other people."

They just opened a Jimmy John's a block from my office. I question the wisdom of that decision since I can leave my office and within six blocks reach:

At least three other independent sandwich shops, and probably more than that
