Am I the only one that doesn't like that?

I'm kinda dumb about gauging talent.

I don't know much about Diaz. But I do know that 38 year old Stairs doesn't really fit into the "rebuilding" plan.

Right. I guess just pure age makes it a good trade.

I guess I thought he could be the veteran leadership :)

Not bad. We got something for Stairs. Good job Dayton :thumb:

I like Matt, but it was probably time to part ways.

I understand the baseball decision, but I liked Stairs' professionalism. I always thought he gave the organization a bit of old-school attitude. I know that only gets you so far in terms of baseball success, but I'll miss seeing him in a Royals uniform.

This is exactly why the Royals are keeping Grudz (character, toughness, good clubhouse guy). Stairs was expendable, because Grudz is an everyday player.

Yeah, Minky is the same way. Minky is a guy that actually seems excited to be in KC... I've become a big fan of his. I really liked Stairs too, I'm amazed we got a AAA pitcher out of him though, I'll take it. Just what the Rangers need, more offense. I guess they figured if they can't find the pitching to match the A's and Angels, they'd try to put a total masher lineup out there.

Bummer, I liked Stairs, but this trade makes sense.

Good luck Matt, and I enjoyed watching you playing for the Royals.
