I have the 8th pick in my fantasy draft and have no idea who I'm going to take. Assuming that the big 3 RB's are gone, Peyton is gone, Portis is gone, who would you take in that spot? Ronnie Brown? Rudi Johnson? I have no clue, any suggestions?

Tiki would be my first choice but he'd probably go in the the top five or sixth if Manning is in the mix. Then you gotta look at Steven Jackson or Edge

I took Rudi Johnson in the same spot you are in, then in the 2nd round in a reverse order draft I ended up getting Steven Jackson so it worked for me.

Be patient LJ might be available after people see how bad our o-line will be with two new starting offensive tackles.

Tiki will go third in our league because he is an absolute FF stud because receptions and receiving yardage count for so much. Course in our league only 1 maybe 2 QBs ever go in the first round. Typically 5 RBs 2 WRs and 1 QB make up the first round.

you laugh, but it's true

i bet in many (non-chiefs sponsored) fantasy leagues larry johnson will fall some.

maybe not to 8th ... but i bet he makes it out of the top 5 in several.

If you're in a savvy league, than Rudi and Cadillac won't be there. You're looking at Lamont Jordan :shake: or Ronnie Brown. You could also take Steve Smith and get a guy like Droughns later.

there's 12 teams in the league, and if i got rudi johnson and then steven jackson in the 2nd, then i'd be happy with that

I don't think theres much chance of you getting both those guys in a 12 team league, unless the owners drafting after you are just not with it.

Be thinking about Marion Barber in the second. If you get him any later than that, I predict a steal.

Steven Jackson will have a good year due to a new coaching system. I would take him.

At this point, I think its too early to take Barber. I agree that he will be good if he's the guy, but right now you have to handcuff him to JJ.

ROFLI know you laugh for other reasons but believe me in our leagues with 8 owners who have all been together a minimum of 5 years and most over 10 everyone is very savy to more than just the players stats from last year. Top three I guarantee will be
Shaun Alexander
LaDamian Tomlison
Tiki Barber

Then Peyton Manning will go

Next it will be

Steve Smith
Marvin Harrison

then it will be back to RB for the final two picks of the first round.

Probably be
LJ Clinton Portis or Edge 7th and 8th and first of the 2nd round depending on how the offenses and lines are performing and injury status after the final preseason game. Our decimated 0-line has definitely knocked LJ out of the top three in both our leagues and most likely out of the top 5.

if LJ and Portis were there at 7 and 8, id take either one of them. Big Willy is gone, but i think LJ can get 1,500 no problem just behind Waters, Weigman, Shields. And they say Portis is back down to his weight that he was in Denver and Al Saunders is the coordinator, i think he has a huge season
