if you have AT&T or SBC, you can get DSL for either 12.99 for express (1.0 Mbps) or 15.99, i think, for pro (3.0 Mbps)

My CenturyTel DSL service speed is bad. Westell modem. DSLreport site said it is slow
Paying for 256K /128K I'm getting at best 50Kb/18Kb
I called to have it looked at and they ran trace and wanted to cycle the modem to retest.
After cycling...Modem stopped communicating with connecting to server anymore. WTF. Goes from being slow to not working?
Still have dial tone? They say it's good up to the house.....

I'm on the SBC 6.0 Mbps plan for $27.99. I typically speed test at around 5 Mbps, which is actually quite acceptable given the distance I am from the central office.

Right now I use GoogleWiFi at home 1MB/s up and down. 0$
Before that I used SBC(and it's what the family uses back in KS). Had no issues with my SBC service. One point to remember. With those 'deals' you have to sign up for a one year commitment, after the year is up your price goes back up to the 39.99 or so regular per month.
