Would you take LJ #1?

I somehow ****ed up and found myself picking first, just curious

It's a good pick. Peyton and Tomlinson would also get consideration.

Alexander should be considered as well.. but I'm a homer and would go with LJ

Im picking 1st myself this year.

I had LJ a lock to go #1. Part of it is homerism, but mostly I feel he is the best.

When Roaf retired, I found myself questioning that a little bit. Like maybe Alexander in the weak ass NFC West. I am calming down now though and leaning towards LJ again.

short version - blah, blah - Stick with LJ :thumb:

I've got an ache to hold out on drafting a running back and picking up Reggie Bush later on but its really risky.

Any of the 4 would be worthy of the top pick. I would most likely pick L.J. first. I rate them all equally and he's a Chief. I hated the year I had two bronco's and had to root against my fanasy team. (I would always take a fantasy loss for a KC win but lets be real its hard when cash is involved with the league)

I think SA struggles more with the loss of Hutchinson than LJ does with the loss of Roaf.

If I were playing FF, my internal debate would be between LJ and Tomlinson, with SA a strong third.

my top 3 choices would be

Tomlinson
Johnson
Alexander

LJ. Beyond that you could argue anyone, but LJ is #1.

It would be a toss up between Shaun Alexander and LT if Iwas picking 1st.

LJ and Manning would be my #3 and #4 choices.

That is a solid squad man. 12 man league?

WR's lack a little bit, but having three stud backs will carry you through the season IMHO. I think Michael Clayton will have a big rebound year.

Yeah, definitely make LJ the number one pick. We lost Roaf, but Shaun also lost an important OLineman and LT lost his QB...not that any of their production will drop off, but I would say that LJ's downside is equivalent to the downsides of the other players, so stick with LJ and ride him to glory.

12 teams and they were picking WR's and TE's in the first round, I laughed my ass off, should be a breeze

Nope I only draft on Sunday nights

LT looses a bit with an un-proven QB. LJ & SA should both put up similar #'s this season while I'll say that SA has a bit of a rest during champioship week (week 16) as they clinch their division early on.
LJ #1 overall! Roaf or no Roaf.

If I can draft LJ I'm going to draft him.

I think the best place to draft is the 3 hole. You get one of the top backs, and you get the better 2nd rounder.

No, Shaun Alexander or Tiki Barber would be number 1 depending on how Seattle's line does this preseason. LT would be 3.

I should add receptions are worth a point each and receiving yards and TDs are worth the same as rushing in our league which really boosts Tiki way up.

I disagree with that... LT kicked ass the first 2 years of the Brees era when he sucked at being a QB. Check out 2002 and 2003.

Good point. I don't disagree that he'll still put up incredible #'s, just wouldn't take hime before LJ or SA.

Would hate to see LT's #'s if he had an offensive line like ours or even the donk's over his career.

Go with LJ. Then you can see every play he makes, and enjoy it along with your Chiefs watching.

It would have to be a very QB friendly scoring system to use the No 1 overall pick on a QB.

LJ is definitely a legit top 3 pick, and while his limited body of work so far kicks ass... he doesn't have the proven skins on the wall that an LT or SA has right now. Visions of repeating those final 9 games in 2005 are hard to pass up...

To me id be internaly divided between Tomlinson and Larry Johnson, but you could be sneaky and snarf Adam Viniteri. After all he is acurate as hell outside in the cold, just thing about what he would be like in a dome. Id laugh my ass off if he chokes a kick during a playoff game in the dome and the Colts lose again.

I'd take LJ. I don't think the fat lady has sung on the Roaf situation. It doesn't seem final to me. However, look at Seattle's schedule. Alexander will have plenty of chances to run wild.
