Anyone else getting this game? It's the NFL equivalent of Syrup of Ipecac, but hey, it's football. Kind of.

Early on, the Lions are slicing through the Broncos like an offensive tackle cut-blocking warm butter. The Broncos have missed some tackles that could have stopped the drive.

The Broncos' midget cornerbacks are looking pretty good, but their linebackers have missed some tackles.

Jake Plummer is taking the field now. He just broke the huddle, ran across the line of scrimmage, and shook hands with a Lion. How odd. Maybe he was apologizing for a road rage incident in the parking lot or something.

Mike Bell looks good.

They started the game before the TV came on here, so I missed the first two Broncos offensive plays.

Mike Bell has 3 carries for 15 yards.

Detroit only has one starting D-lineman playing.

1st down Denver.

Plummer completes for a 1st. Eight yards.

Rain Man

Mike Bell is very unimposing physically.

Mike Bell stuffed for a three yard loss.

Plummer with a 16 yard completion.

I think they put Cutler in the game with Plummer's jersey on.

Plummer completes a pass to himself?

Oh my... are guys really going to watch the whole game and post here?

Sadly for me... the game isn't on TV in Dallas. Ah well, it's off to play some poker. I wish I could see the first quarter, but other than that... not interested.

Enjoy

Ooh. Mike Bell loses the football and Detroit recovers. He got spun around and wasn't hanging onto it tightly.

No one has laid a hand on him yet, but he tripped over one of the headset cords and shattered his collarbone.

I started to watch it but then I saw there is an old Leave it to Beaver re-run on.

I started to watch it but then I saw there is an old Leave it to Beaver re-run on.

I saw one of those the other day, and Ward was really proud of a baseball that he had had autographed by the entire 1927 Yankees roster when he was 17. He put it on display in his library, and Beaver and Larry took it out to play catch and managed to destroy it. Ward was really mad for a while, but then relented and forgave Beaver.

The last laugh is on Beaver, though. I wonder how much that baseball would be worth today?

Detroit's offense is dismantling Denver's defense right now.

Detroit ****ING UP Denver's defense. 10-0.

Rain Man

20-yard touchdown pass by Detroit. Beautiful little pass and run by a Detroit QB and WR who I've never heard of.

Denver has been badly burned twice on blitzes by quick passes over the middle.

Do you get that Qwest telecommunications commercial, too? I bet not, since Qwest is our local incompetent crooked phone company.

That commercial annoys me to no end, because it shows people watching football and "spontaneously" dancing when a good play supposedly happens. There's one clip of a man and woman watching TV, and the woman does some sort of bad choreographed dance that isn't spontaneous at all. I want to commit domestic violence on her.

All right. Here comes Jay Cutler, and his first professional pass isssssssssssss... incomplete. Threw into tight coverage after one of those annoying bootleg rollouts.

I won't deny that, but she looks like she's stomping roaches.

And the Cutler era ends in a three and out. Shanahan is chewing out Cutler for throwing a short route on 3rd and 8.

Wow. Horrific lame-duck pass by the third Detroit QB of the game. It looked like a punt and the Broncos intercepted it.

I'm watching the Ravens/NYGiants game on the NFL network. McNair took the Ravens right down the field and ran a TD in from 10 yrds.

Cutler fumbles the snap. Ha.

Rain Man

George Foster got away with a false start there. A penalty would've saved Cutler from another incompletion.

Broncos get a field goal from the Big Giant Head.

Rain Man

Broncos just ran a reverse, and #14 fumbled it away. Took a little hit and lost it.

Charles Rogers just made a catch. Can you believe that?
