I just made the final payment on my 2000 Cherokee.

I now own all my cars...man, what a great feeling...

Don't laugh, it's paid for.

You're just asking to get hit by a 16 year-old with no insurance. Stop tempting fate.

If you'd just waited six years, you could have gotten it a lot cheaper.

I just finished the Van. ...good timing.

I'll warn my wife to watch out for teenagers and apricot beamers.

So how much did you end up actually paying for the Jeep?

too much...like most things...

23k plus 7k in interest.

Congrats if that's what your goal is.

Mine: I never even bother to try to own mine.

I just lease and roll into another every 4 years.

To me a car is not the best investment.

You're sitting on equity that could be invested. Go get a loan against it while it is worth something and buy some stocks.

23k plus 7k in interest. When I married my wife, she had an 02 Cavalier she got brand new.

When I broke it down, with her high interest rate, she would have ended up paying $45,000 for a Chevy Cavalier!!

Yea Sully, they’ll come off. I think you can still drop the windshield also.
If I’ve read correctly, you can also have the choice of soft or hard top, and it’ll also come in the Rubicon model.

Good for you Stevieray. :thumb:
We’ll be there again in 4 years when we get the wife’s Liberty paid off.
How’d the rear end go on the Scooby Van anyway?

Hmmm,..
I paid off my sparkling new 91 Geo Prism in '94.
12 years w/o a payment is a beautiful thing.

Of course I have to drive a POS.

Unsolicited advice here, but he ought to put some of it in the bank so that he doesn't have to get a six year loan and pay $7K in interest next time he needs a new car.

Bingo! We have a winner! The sooner Americans stop buying cars on payments and save up and pay cash, the sooner they can build wealth and retire with dignity.

Redrum is a strange chap. Stevie ray Congrat on paying off the car it does feel good to stop making payment on something.

a 2000 jeep? It's probably not worth too much more than you currently owe on it.
