I noticed a couple of plays the other night, so here you go.

Check out Bober getting abused on this pass play. He gets shoved right into Green's face. The rest of the line did their job.

And on this one, Bober does a nice job, but Sampson blows his block. The DE spins right past him.

Green did a nice job of completing passes on both plays, however. You can also see Turley's good protection.

That second one also shows Turley doing a great job against the blitz.

That second one also shows Turley doing a great job against the blitz.I noticed that, too. I remember the coaches saying something about that in an interview, about how he got fooled during a practice during the Vikes when that blitz happened, and how he wasn't going to let it happen again after that.

The more I see from Turley, the more my nervousness about Roaf's absense goes away. I think we'll be just fine.

Since Sampson had help on the outside he should have played more to the inside.

I think.

Wow. Nice catch on Turley, gochiefs. That was a great play by our buddy Kyle on that second clip.

Bober won't be in once the season starts we will have Waters back so the O-line doesn't really bother me alot.

I noticed that block by Turley during the game. He basically dive-tackles the second guy. I'd love to see Willie come back and Turley take over RT (but I'm not counting on it).

Hey, GoChiefs, would you mind maybe enlarging that second one and slowing it down a bit? Might be easier to see Turley's blocks.

That play by Turley has been severely under-appreciated IMO. An o-lineman putting one defender flat on his back and still being able to pick up the oncoming blitzer is something you don't see often.

Nice, thats a good look of both of those O-lineman.

Im Sampson's defense, he looked like he wasnt ready for the RB to chip, but at the same time he needs to stay more balanced. He was caught leaning way too far to the right.

And that Turley one is sweet. That is that blitz pickup I have been reading about. :)

That second gif in the first post was the one where Turley handled his first guy, then pickup up the blitz too.

That right there has me thinking that we'll be alright if Roaf doesn't come back.

Yeah, that was a nice block. T-Richesque.Heh, not quite. Cruz got bent over backwards on that block (not visable in the vid), whereas Richardson would have kept trucking into the EZ ahead of his RB.

Even so, he picked up his man. It was a good block.

Turnley looked like a monster on those blocks (especially the second one).

During the game the other night, they showed highlights of LJ running and Roaf was sealing his guy to the outside for the duration of the run. I hope Turley can bring half of that.

When we signed Turley, I questioned whether he would even make the team. I didn't think he'd be able to be effective with his back condition.

Now he's our starting LT, and his pass protection looks fantastic. Nice signing, CP.

Both blown blocks were the result of a chip from another Chief. The only bad thing about Turley is that he is playing left tackle now when in reality he will be playing right tackle when the season starts.

TURLEY PLAYS NASTY

SAMPSON STILL HAS BAD FEET.

Chiefs fans will hate him once the season starts.

thanks, gochiefs....great clips

Turley has instincts you can't teach...the only question is his back holding up over 16 games...Sampson clearly doesn't have the quick feet that Turley has, hopefully he can compensate with technique at some point...

and Green....how cool is he? looks like he's playing catch in the backyard with his son....love him and will miss him when he is gone...that kind of pocket composure is very, very rare...

Man do I wish people would quit fantasizing about Roaf coming back. I mentioned this on the day Roaf retired that it wouldn't be the end of our season just because we lost him. My one concern was if Turley could pass block as well as Big Willie' but after watching the Texans game, seeing this highlights, and reading TC reports, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that we won't be losing a whole lot. No, Turley is not as good Big Willie, but he's not too bad...
