he did fill in for Morton or KennisonDunno. We signed Brian Waters as a free agent FB, but we don't consider that position his "roots" hardly at all. It doesn't matter what you were drafted as, I say

The last WR that we drafted that was successful for us was Carlos Carson.

If Samie can stay healthy he can be THE
WR draft pick of the last 15 years
but of course he has injury issues

J.J. Birden was a free agent acquisition. He was originally drafted by the Browns in 1988.

I think the Chiefs have gone the longest without an elite WR of any franchise in the NFL.

Mr. Laz

Blackledge?
yep

and i believe that is the last time a QB drafted by the chiefs started for ANY team EVAH.

Calcountry

Blackledge? :shrug:Now that foo is doing college games, acting like he knows about being a big time QB at that level. Well, YEAH, you had Curt Warner to hand the rock too, lots of pressure.

What a bust. What is it with Penn State and high profile picks by CP? He must have a hard on for that program.

I hope you're kidding because Blackledge was well before CP. The last young QB we tried to turn into a starter was Mark Vlasic, whom we didn't even draft.
The last QB the Chiefs drafted prior to Blackledge to start a game was Mike Livingston. We haven't had much luck with WR's or RB's really, any skill position.
