I would suggest looking into torrents.

If you don't know what that is, do a search for "torrent" or "bittorrent" on this site.

I've tried a few, but I can't seem to find a working one.

Dude...you really shouldn't just come right out and ask for pirated software on a message board. Aside from the fact that you identify yourself, the owners of the board can be held responsible, too.

We're all law-abiding citizens here. But torrents are probably your best bet. Keep looking. ;)

Just suck it up and realize that it isn't worth the money for what you need to do anyway and just use the free office suite from openoffice.org...

Great product. I often use it to fix corrupted Microsoft Excel files.

I don't do anything too complex, with any office type programs, and have yet to run into a single issue running it. But as a person who would like to switch to linux full time, it is sort of a blessing to have something that will run on any platform I would like it to.

Plus it helps to keep my system as legal as possible.

I've never used open office, but it sounds interesting. Does it have all the same forumulas and data analysis capabilities that you can do with Excel?

I don't know, honestly. I would assume it could do most of it.

Fair enough. It's a pretty small download. I guess I'll just try it out for myself. :D

Yup, and all that does is cost you time...

You should be able to do just about anything you could with excel. A spreadsheet is pretty primitive. The presentation piece is much better than powerpoint.

Is there something like Word that is included in that?

Yep. It actually looks very similar to Word.

(already downloaded and installed)

Yup, it has Writer, which looks just like word, for the most part.

Open office is great software. I have both, Microsoft Office on my company machine, and OO on my personal computers; and I prefer open office.

If you're looking to buy.... have you tried Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Office Depot or Circuit City? How about any of those places' websites, or ebay?
