So I've got a Brett autographed baseball from 86.... a signed jersey.... 12 George Brett commemorative Glass pints(Hardees like 87 or something), George Brett signed program from July 85, Brett signed glove, poster of Brett that was hanging in my room in the mid 80s,...

...and now a Brett bobblehead.... I was so pumped to add another addition to my collection... Even though the Royals lost...

But hey.... Brett bobblehead...... Give your props here for George.... my childhood hero....

that's all....

I heard he was holding all his pine tarred bats in the statue.

It still amazes me that people idolize this guy after he was caught blatently cheating...

Good, because MLB overturned the decision to call Brett out. They had to play the remainder of the 9th inning over on an off-day later in the season.

Ah the pine tar incident. One of the classics.

Gotta love Brett....

Hopefully we will have another player like that, that is idolized by fans. Sweeney looks like he was on the way there but he got hurt alot.

A couple of weeks ago two different sports programs were highlighting the greatest meltdowns in the world of sports, both had the infamous pine tar bat incident. There were people at work who had never seen it before. They were amazed at the way Brett came flying out of that dug out and went ape sh!t.

Brett merely stored his pine tar on the bat handle. Bad rule.

Last night I learned that Oakland fans don't just suck in football.

Saberhagen, Gubiza, Leonard, Quirk (QUIRK), Patek, Gura, Appier, Leibrandt, Montgomery, Orta, Sundberg and Dane Iorg. Iorg was left off of the historical site on the Royals web site. WHAT AN INJUSTICE!

WHAT MEMORIES!

Brett was a great player. And I looked up to him as much as anyone. But, he's a dickhead. For the last two years I've had the "pleasure" of participating in a chairity sporting event with him. Both times, complete asswipe.

Kind of soured me.

I bought a couple of Brett bobbleheads off ebay a few years ago, one in the home uni one in the road uni. I always used to have to have his b-ball card. I'd buy packs and packs and packs of cards until I got his. Until I discovered card stores. Whenever I played sports I insisted on the number 5. All those other names bring back memories too. Bo, Biancalana(sp?) Bud Black, Jim Sunburg, Dick Howser rest his soul.
