This is not the place for Shaun Alexander will have 1000 yds rushing or Peyton Manning will throw for 3500 yds and 25 td's,I'm looking for predictions a little off the wall but not toys in the attic crazy unless of course you're ready to explain why you think it.

I'm talking the entire NFL,teams, players, records etc. This is the place to put it on the line and show your stuff and we can bump this during the season and see how everyone is doing.

My first predictions

1.Todd Heap will be the #1 TE in the NFL this season, with McNair now at qb and knowing McNair's past success with the likes of Wycheck I'm calling this.Of course it's also based on McNair being able to stay healthy.

2.The Detroit Lions will make the play-offs,the NFC North is up for grabs and other than the Bears I don't see anyone but the Lions challenging for the division.I also like what Marinelli is doing and think that Jon Kitna will be a great qb this season.

3.Antonio Bryant of the 49er's will be a top 10 receiver,I think the addition of Norv Turner will make Alex Smith a much better qb and with the possibility of playing from behind alot I see Alex hooking up with Bryant on a regular basis.

4.Ben Watson for the Pats will be a top 5 TE,based on last years performance against the donks in the play-offs and now the receiving issues in New England I think Big Ben becomes Brady's new fav target.

2-the raiders wont get 4 wins

3-kc misses the playoffs

4-Redskins win the east and earn a trip to the Promised Land.

Edgerrin James doesnt get 1,000 yds this season.

Shaun Alexander becomes the lastest victim of the Madden curse.

The Dolphins will win the AFCEast.

Vernon Davis will be a bust in the NFL.

Ryan Sims will have a Pro Bowl year, nah just kidding, we all know he'll get hurt again.

1. David Carr makes the Pro Bowl
2. Corey Dillon and Laurence Maroney combine to make the Patriots a top 5 team in terms of rushing
3. T.O. is sidelined because of injury, not because of bad behavior
4. The Packers win the NFC North

Jon Kitna will make the Pro-Bowl

I think he's the most underrated qb in the league. People said he had no heart when he said Palmer should be starting in Cincy. That's not a lack of heart people, it's common sense. He knew that his days were limited and he was trying to posture himself to get into a situation where he could play somewhere. While this qualifies for most people to be in this thread. I don't think it will be a surprise at all.

I disagree with everything you've stated. ROFL Sorry. I don't think Sims will get hurt at all this year. Not unless it's in preseason. Unless of course he trips over his dog down the stairs. This dude doesn't look like he's gonna see the field.

1. The San Diego Chargers will see no drop-off in QB performance with Phillip Rivers at the helm. Everything I've seen and heard from camp and his teammates indicates Rivers is ready to go and his team has confidence in him.

2.The Broncos will win the AFC West, followed by San Diego, Oakland, with KC bringing up the rear.
Denver is good and getting better. As mentioned above San Diego will have a strong O. Aaron Brooks will gel with Oakland WR corps enough to win a few games. KC will continue to bleed points on defense. They will suffer a major downturn in offensive productivity as age and the injury factor catch up to a team whose second string cupboard has been left bare by management.

3. Tony Kornheiser will be fired from his broadcasting gig before mid season.

Ronnie Brown will lead the AFC and the league in runshing yards.

Cedric Benson will lead the NFC in rushing yards.

Bears will be the first team to clinch homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

Chiefs will be the only team in the AFC West that makes the playoffs with a record of 10-6.

Colts will make the playoffs but only win 10 games, they will lack a running game to keep defenses honest.

AFC Championship: Pats at Dolphins - Dolphins win.

NFC Championship: Redskins at Bears - Bears win.

1. The Vikes will get into the play-offs. Their D is improving, Childress is going WCO with the perfect QB for it, and they stole Tony Richardson from us.

2. San Diego wins the division. I think Denver is going to begin their downhill slide. Jake the snake will not get over his playoff meltdown and they still don't have a RB. SD still has LT, a good D, and Rivers is the man.

3. The Ravens are the AFC rep to the Superbowl. Good D and McNair is a HUGE upgrade over Boller. NE is slowly coming back to the rest of the pack.

4. TO does not finish the season with the Cowboys. See Philadelphia.

Roger Goodell, in an effort to restore credibility in the Salary Cap, strips the Denver Broncos of two Super Bowls Trophies.
John Elway is suspended from the HOF for "clocking" cars sold at his dealerships. Indisputable evidence surfaces that he instructed his shops to turn back the speedos.
Shannahan is fined $50,000.00 for his excessive use of cooking spray.

Basileus777

Jonathan Vilma will become a non factor due to being swallowed by offensive linemen when Dwayne Robertson fails to take double teams. In fact he Jets defense will be terrible this year, which is inevitable when your best pass rusher is Byran Thomas.

The Jets oline will continue to suck even with their 1st round draft picks. D'Brick will not live up to his hype, but Mangold will be good.

The Colts defense will be exposed for the fraud it is. They will be a bottom five run defense (in ypc).

Thomas Davis will disappoint and the Panthers linebacking corp will be revealed as that defenses weakness.

-The Lions will finish .500 or better.

-David Carr will have a breakout season

-The Eagles will be much better without TO than people expect. I don't think they'll finish last, I can see them back in the playoffs, maybe even winning the division.

-Miami will be the annual overhyped team that doesn't quite live up to expectations.

-Cleveland will be the team that absolutely nobody is talking about now that will surprise and make a run at .500, or better.

I think that's enough predictions to be wrong about for the next 6 months.

1. The Tuna will get real sick of TO real fast and bench him before midseason

2. Moss will throw a fit after Brooks overthrows him again and incite a mutiny. Brooks will get benched, Walters will start and Oaktown will have a new hero.

3. Farve will be the NFC player of the year and then retire.

4. New Orleans will be a threat but not because of Bush who will be regarded as something of a bust. Brees and Stalworth will connect and scorch defenses while McAlister runs the rock.

5. Pittsburgh will miss Bettis more then they thought and miss the playoffs.

2. Ben Watson becomes a Pro Bowl TE for the NE Patriots.

3. the Seahags avoid the "losing the SB curse" and give it to the Steelers instead. Seahawks go to the NFC Championship Game.

4. Parcells/Bledsoe/TO/Glenn power a very good offense in Dallas. Bledsoe leads the league in a number of statistical categories. In the playoffs, however, he makes 2+ idiotic decisions, costing them the game.

Well until I see the REAL offense, and damn I hope it is better than the offense we are seeing right now, I am seeing a 8-8 or 9-7 record.

Yeah I was going to say 9-7 or 10-6. What is your opinion on Croyle? I haven't heard much about him. I know he was considered small in college, just wanted to know how he was progressing. Not knowing what down it is anymore, waiting for that draw play on third down that never works, or using 2 timeouts in the first quarter because he can't get the play off. Don't worry buddy -- after a few years you will folllow suit!!

1. The Chiefs will miss the playoffs
2. Chiefs fans will turn on Hermie in week 8
3. Herm Edwards will lose two games due to his lack of knoledge of X & O's
4. Chiefs fans will welcome Jets fans to this board after they bow down and say "damn, you were right."
5. Chiefs fans will wish that they only gave the Jets a six pack of beer and a bag of chips (what Herm is worth) instead of The fourth round pick they gave the Jets for Edwards.
4. This one is a given -- 10 Chiefs fans will reply to this message with four letter words and ANGRY overtones. Also, they will insult the jets and say they will only win 4 games this year (don't worry fellas -- we expect it after this mess we were left with)
5. At least a few of you will chuckle at my Screen name.

At some point early on in the season, I will become so infuriated with sterling sharpe's man-love for Randy Moss that I will toss a blunt object at my big screen.

God, I hate listening to Sterling Sharpe. He has got to be one of the dumbest people around. He doesn't even make sense half of the time. :banghead:

1. Chiefs finish 2nd in the west with 9 wins.
2. Reggie Bush will be despised as much as T.O., Vick and Favre for the senseless media attention that he will draw.
3. The Colts don't make the playoffs (wishfull thinking on my behalf).
4. NFC Championship game - Dallas at Carolina.
5. AFC Championship game - Jags at NE.
6. Surprise team - Saints. ( I have to say the Saints because everybody else is saying the Cards and Lions and they aren't surprises anymore).

I might be alittle late on the predictions since the season has started, but here's afew "crazy" ideas.

The Chiefs defense will be among the top 10 this year, while the offense will suffer and fall to 15 or lower.

T.O. will be traded before the end of the year. Only team interested in him will be of course - the Raiders.

The Bears defense will score more points than the Bucs offense.

The Bears and Colts meet in the Super Bowl

Raiders will win 4 games (maybe) Chiefs will sneak in 9-10 (luckily)

Brodie Croyle will replace and injured Green (again) and lead the Chiefs to an amazing comeback win against the Broncos at home.

Green retires and Croyle leads the Chiefs back to the playoffs in 07
