Kinda what Holthus has been saying all along. THIS game is going to be the dress rehearsal for the season...

If we look bad this week, we are doomed. Just like in 04 when we spanked the Rams in the third game. We ended up being great that season.

I'm just glad to get to see them play. While I have been a bit concerned about the play so far I will hold off on "the sky is falling" type posts till we are 0-2 in the regular season.

If Brian Waters is out, our first string offense will still suck.

Any wagers on Croyle looking better in his first action than Printers did?

Probably, but I'm more worried about our line protecting him and keeping him healthy.

If Brian Waters is out, our first string offense will still suck.I think he practiced today, don't know if he'll play though. Gave a big speech after the first practice this morning about guys draggin ass. I'd love to see him out there.

Glad to hear. I just hope that Croyle don't get killed back there with that crappy 2nd/3rd stringer O-Line.

It's a hell of a way to get your QB in the IR in a hurry. I bet that's one reason why Huard only lasted so little from last Thursday's game becuase I'm sure that Herm didn't want him killed back there with that crappy 2nd/3rd string O-Line.

Well, thank you captain sarcastic. But he obviously hasn't been healthy during this particular training camp, because he hasn't played yet.

The bar isn't set very high. I'll be surprised if he doesn't look more poised in there.

The bar isn't set very high. No it isn't.

But there are people here that think Printers' only problem is not enough pass protection.

I'm sticking my neck out and predicting that Croyle will be notably better.

Just think, Black and Bober lined up as our starting guards. Bold prediction: new preseason record for sacks in a single game!

If those two are starting, I suggest Mr. Green stays on the bench.

Black has played very well at guard.

Black has played very well at guard.

He has played decently at guard, which is his actual position. I'm a bit prejudiced with memories of Route 65 "Trent Green Memorial Expressway", I'll admit.

Couldn't care less. Preseason is only good up to a point of preparing a team for its regular season games. Its of more value to evaluate those who are trying to make the team.
