Having recently been in a Toyota Dealership I cannot imagine if you wanted an SUV why you would choose anything other than a Landcruiser

If it was a truck I wanted, it would be a Dodge Ram

Sports, give me a Lamorghini Countache

Luxury Car, I want a Aston Martin Vontage

So where do you fit?

Pick-em-up truck - Ford F150 (What I currently drive)
"Little Car" - BMW M3
SUV - I guess a Range if this is straight fantasy
Sports Car - Ferrari 360 Spider
"Fun" Car - One of those new 4-door Jeep Wranglers

Modern Day Muscle Car - Dodge Charger

I've said that the Rolls-Royce Phantom is my dream car. I changed my mind. I've read some negative things about the Phantom. I want a Charger.

You forgot "who has a kid who plays on a soccer team."

:) Actually I'd drive a van. They're quiet, drive quite well, have tons of room, and get sufficient gas mileage.

Like you, I'm a fan of the Land Cruiser. However, I don't think I could pay what they ask for it. Those things are expensive with a capital X.

Are you thinking of buying one? If so, what justifies the pricing for you? I've never driven one, so I'm not very knowledgeable about it.

Nah I was just killing time and it caught my attention. My dealer has added an Aston Martin section and though I would never buy one I have been thinking about test driving a Vontage.

Bob Dole drove about every midsize SUV out there. Most of them are tanks or land yachts. Muddy, sloppy handling turds.

The Mazda CX-7 is exactly what the commercials say it is. It's sports car meets SUV.

I will cross that bridge when it happens. I based my opinion on the current situation.
Chrysler now makes a full line of cars that I have always wanted. The 4 door Dodge Truck looks like it was designed to be a 4 door. The upcoming Challenger is going to be very hard for me not to own, it is exactly what a lot of Boomers want. However, since Daimler basically cleaned out their corporate offices of Americans, I am pissed at them.

SUV: I guess if I had to a BMW X5 or Acura MDX.

Tuck: No thanks

Sports Car: BMW M3 or base model 996 Carrera.

Luxury: M3 i guess is too raw for this category. 645 CI.

Practical Sedan: Infinity G35, Infinity M35 or Acura TL. Maybe even a Subaru WRX STi Limited.

SUV: Already own the Mercedes ML350 and Lexus RX330. Range Rover is next. I'd rather have the Lexus GX470 than the Toyota version though.

Truck: No trucks for me

Sports Car: Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Luxury: Mercedes CL700

Hadn't seen this when I posted my last. :)

Is that a sedan? That's some damn terrible gas mileage for a sedan. Is it a 10 cylinder or something?

I'm not much of a car afficianado. Last I looked (5 years ago) I was hot for a Toyota Highlander, which I think is now the LandCruiser you guys are referring to. Ultimately, I couldn't justify the money so I was leaning towards the Nissan Pathfinder as a cheaper alternative that I liked.

But I then I ended up with a Honda Odyssey minivan, because my practical side won out. GREAT decision. I love that stupid mommy-mobile...

SUV, that I’d actually take off road = a new Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Rubicon.
SUV, “Pavement Princess”, “Mall Cruiser” = Toyota Land Cruiser
Truck = Dodge 1 Ton, Cummins turbo diesel, “+550 lb/ft of torque available at 2K RPMs”. Nuff said.
Sports Car = LS6 Corvette, though if we’re really gonna start dream’n I’ll take a Hennessy Venom (tuner special Viper).
Luxury = Caddy STS-V with the super charged North Star engine.
Motorcycle, cruiser = Boss Hoss with the 502 Ramjet.
Motorcycle, sport = Kawasaki ZX-14
Motorcycle, dirt = Honda XR-650.

If you go to the Toyota web site and try to build a land cruiser, it lists the base price as $56,000, but then the next page includes $7,000 of "options" that you can't deselect. I find that kind of humorous.

During my freshman year of college, my first glimpse of a mature college upperclasswoman was a gal who sat in front of me in chemistry. She was a junior, and she was built like a woman who had grown up on a planet of plastic surgeons in a zero-gravity environment. This woman should have been a national monument. Anyway, she drove one of those little tiny Civics that looked like a tennis shoe, so I have very fond memories of that car.
