Seriously. It will. Check this out. I lost my doorbell in the current remodeling project, so I just bought this one.

Anyone got any suggestions on what my first doorbell noise should be?

I'm thinking of starting out with a clip of that phone call in Pulp Fiction that's something like, "Zeb? It's Maynard. The spider just caught a couple of flies."

Yep.. here's Rainmans new doorbell.

I'd go with "For whom the bell tolls" by Metallica.

Hells Bellls by AC/DC

All of the above are pretty cool, but you should open it up to the Planeteers. We can submit MP3's and you can load the one you like best in there. I do a wicked "baw-chicka-baw" 70's air-bass lick.

Your wife will LOVE it!

You should put like 3 shotgun shots for your doorbell. Your guests will love you.

Or a teenage girl, barfing!

Right after the sound of a grunting pig

Or, a grunting pig!

Nah, go for the shotgun thing.
But just the sound of a shotgun cocking.

I think you should have audio of "Sfinkta", I always thought that would be hilarious, well in a weird sort of way. You see, it says "sfinkta", so you can press the doorbell over and over and it will go like, "sfinkta...sfinkta, sfinkta, sfinkta"

yeah, do that one

08-22-2006, 05:13 AM
Or this one

08-22-2006, 05:15 AM
Or this one

08-22-2006, 05:55 AM
Much like I prefer
phones to go "ring, ring"
I like my doorbells
to go "ding, ding"

That's an awesome doorbell!

Can't You Hear Me Knockin' - The Rolling Stones
I Hear You Knockin' - Dave Edmunds
My Doorbell - The White Stripes

Duh! The obvious answer is a clip of Mitch Holtus, with his trademark "TOUCHDOWN, KAN-SAS CITY!"

After the "I'm in labor on your front porch" scam, you should have considered one that delivers a mild electric shock to the visitor.

There are times when I would like to have one that when someone pushes the button in yells "GO AWAY!"

I'm going to get one that plays Rock & Roll Part 2... I really hope Gary Glitter doesn't get a royalty every time someone comes to my door.

Go for the sheep!

The sound of a gong seems appropriate.

The sound of a gong seems appropriate.

Oooh...that would be fun. But only if it's got good enough sound to sound somewhat authentic. Then you could answer your door in traditional Indonesian garb.
