View Full Version : Another LJ coming down the pike?

Adrian Peterson, #28 for the Oklahoma Sooners. He isn't quite as big as LJ yet as he is at 223 # but he has many of the qualities of LJ. He also has struggled with injuries while LJ hasn't. But this dude is big and fast and has moves as well. He is a junior this year but almost certainly will declare for the draft next year. I hope he doesn't go to our division.

IF OU can't fix their QB problem, he's not going to look all that great against 11 man fronts.

If nothing else, he'll get a chance to prove whether he's for real.

How many yards did he end up with today? He tore us a new one in the first half.

102 rushing 150 total......he is LJ just with more speed and natural ability.

He's good, but he's no Kolby Smith.

...don't forget he hasn't toted the rock 400+ times in a season.

I hope for the sake of my keeper league fantasy team he never totes the rock 400 times in a season...

They would be crazy to do it. The dude reminds me of OJ Simpson the way he slides down the line looking for a hole then bounces it outside.

People laughed when I drafted him at #8.

You really took him that high?

It's only a reach because he slides further than that.....I got him with my 3rd pick in a keeper league...

Snake draft, so my next pick was Willie Parker.

I like how it's insane to compare Bowe to TO until he puts up HOF type numbers, but it's ok to say AP is better than LJ.

He's not better.....maybe after this year I'll say he's better.

Just like maybe after this year I'll say Bowe compares with TO, I need to see some more of Bowe before I feel comfortable with that comparison though.

The fact that Bowe predicted this week would be the "Bowe Show" speaks volumes. He seems to know he can beat the DB's.

I think Bowe played a really good game, I'm not saying he sucks or he's bad or anything like that.

Can he be a TO like player? Sure he has that build, but TO is consistent and he is a HOF caliber player because he is one of the hardest workers in the league and plays hard 100% of the time.

Bowe could be like TO sure but I wanna see him a bit more first before I'll fully say that he looks like TO.

RB is a young man's position it just is, there is a realistic chance that AD moves ahead of LJ in the RB list by the end of this year....LJ went from being a backup to top 3 in 8 games....

AP isn't as good as LJ, he's damn good but if you noticed he can't keep up that pace like LJ can. The man was pulling his ass slowly off the turf in the 4th and Minnesota is gonna get him killed because they think they have a LJ type back.

No, he's not the horse LJ is but he can stay the course. His teammates call him AD, not AP. That stands for "All Day".

No, they didn't. They called him AD. I'm from Tulsa and I saw him play a dozen times.

That announcer will catch up. I imagine lots of people call him AP who don't know better.
