I dont know if im correct on this but what i am understanding is that we are still holding on to willie roafs contract. Holding out hope that he comes back, i dont know why because he isnt coming back this year in my opinion, but what i am getting at is that would free up about 3 million in cap room when he officialy retires to go after a quality reciever. I dont think Branch would work because as all youve said we would have to give to much. Am i correct on the roaf situation?

Peterson said they keep him on the team until around the tenth game
will not count against the 53 man roster but will count against the cap
-retirement "may not" matter for this years cap

The Chiefs are currently $12 million under the cap, with Roaf's contract. They already have enough caproom to go after a WR like Branch if they want.

With that kind of room......they should make the move for Branch. They almost have to take a WR in 1 of the first 2 rounds of next years draft. Just use the pick on a proven player like Branch instead makes sense to me.
