View Full Version : Slick Willy pardons Rostencrookski

I can smell this one all the way from Washington. Clinton with no advance notice for obvious reasons, pardoned the odious Dan Rostenkowski, the former Illinois U.S. Representative and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee who was convicted of, among other things, misusing government funds and ghost payrolling, and spent 15 months in prison after pleading guilty. Apparently, this was in deference to Rostencrookski's 40 years of public service. I personally wonder what he got away with during decades of criminal abuse of our country.

Once again, Chicago/Illinois/Democratic politics stink it up on a national level. I'd really be disgusted if I wasn't so used to it.

I hope GW has the White House thoroughly disinfected before he moves in. Yech.

Those Democrooks all stick together. It will be nice to have some honest people in the White House for a change.

Yeah, we've never seen this done before, have we?

Why is it that your only defense of the Clinton Administration is, "well, your side does it too"... ?

That's pretty weak, don't you think?

not that there is a defense of the clinton admin...

I'm not defending anybody. They're all crooks. Surprised you didn't know that.

But the big question is, will he pardon himself? I put the odds at 50-50...<BR>
