That's the exact same thing I just heard on The Fox Broadcast, no more news at this point.

I'd be really surprised if Trent didn't have a concussion. If I had to make a guess he'll miss three game minimum, five tops if it is just a concussion.

However, my guess is no better than any other armchairm QB.

My thought exactly. Originally I hated the early bye week.

Damon Huard is Elvis Kenney.

We should start Croyle next week just to get his feet wet.

Take the bye,

Then let Trent try to dig us out of an 0-2 hole.

Huard ought to be selling Lady Kenmores somewhere. He's beyond awful.

My guess is he'll sit out next week (and he'll be on the sidelines, not munching nachos)

Back after the Bye... with Big Willie protecting his ass once again

Honestly I don't think it was an illegal hit. Just bad timing for Trent.

What is the rule ? I thought once the qb was in the slide he was untouchable?

CP was on the radio saying that all the preliminary tests they've run at the hospital were negative.

That is good news.

Trent was in his slide, if it was a hit, it was ILLEGAL.

Was it a hit or was it incidental contact?

My sister used to date trent and is now friends with his wife. She says trent may have a broken collar bone. And could be out for 8 weeks or more.

I hope Trent recovers as soon as possible without any lingering effect.

You may be right. I admit I'm not totally sure about the details of that rule. If it's indeed "in the slide" then it was a bad hit.

Not accidental, for sure.

Ban this troll. He already dropped the N-bomb on another thread.

Just saw the hit guys...that was pretty scary. For the record, I'm glad he's OK and hope this doesn't cause him to lose game time...although I think he probably sits next week. Shame to see a great competitor go down on some BS like that.

Not accidental, for sure.
He left the ground at the same time that Trent slid, and if he was untouched he probably would of grazed his head. Kennison hit him and knocked him right into Green.

Can't hit the Qb in the head, and you can't engage after he has started to slide. Geather's engaged before Trent slid, and any hit to the head was incidental due to the block from Kennison. I wasn't at the game but saw the reply a million times in 4 different angles thanks to DVR. Geathers was trying to get to him before the slide which is what you are supposed to do.

I am more worried about Herm's post-game interview when he said that we would be going with Huard next week, without a second thought. If Trent is only out short-term I can agree with using Huard but if he is out for 5 or 6 games I would like to see our QBOTF in there getting some reps.
