Just wondering. I was very painful to watch Huard doing his Dave Krieg impersonation.

Volek has to be better than Huard right?

There is no way Volek could come in, learn the playbook, and play more effectively than Huard in one week.

None.

IMO Yes

He has more talent, but he cannot come in, learn this offense by Sunday, and win in Denver. He would likely be a one week starter which is not worth any draft pick. Let Huard get killed and pray Green can come back after the bye.

I was more concerned about Volek's ability to hold on to the football.

None. That would not be the point, I figure Trent will be out 4 to 6 weeks and I really do not want to watch Huard for all those gamers.

Trent isn't going to miss 4 weeks. Geez.

I'd say no. We would probably have to give up a 1st rounder to get him, and I would say it is obvious we are going to need that first rounder for other positions.

Without improvement up front we are not going anywhere anyway. Let Croyle give it a go. Who knows, maybe he turns out to be a Rothlisberger.

I am hoping they consider Croyle too.

Unfortunately you are likely wrong.

Really?

Bledsoe got concussed last week.

Exactly what makes you so sure about the extent of Trent's injury? Players get concussed every week and many times they're back the very next week. My best guess is that Trent has a small chance of playing next week but will definitely be back by week four, thus missing only one game.

But, of course, that's a total guess -- just like your suggestion he'll be out four to six weeks is.

Players get concussed every week.
How many of those players are QBS, and how many of them are knocked out cold...and how many of them lie on the ground for 11 minutes before being rolled off the field on a stretcher?

All concussions are not the same.

It's worth a try, I mean really, what do we have in Huard? Pure suckiness.

The guy was 12 for 20 for 140 yards and a TD.

Yeah, he was horrible.

Why would we want a guy that his own organization doesn't beleive in and his only competition was a rookie trying to adjust to the pros.

They should bring Printers up. He can't pass worth a damn but his scrambling ability will keep him alive.
