I can forsee him taking a lot of Samie's snaps.

Absolutely not.

Parker is not being replaced.

He had an outstanding training camp and preseason. One game does not change anything.

I would hope so!

He's bigger.....probably has better hands.....Parkers just faster. I still don't believe Parker will ever be a legit starting NFL WR.

Parker = Dante

Kennison #1
Gardiner #2
Parker/Dante wierd shit like reverses etc.

Gardner probably won't start a single game this year, guys.

Gardner WAS better than anybody on the Chiefs' roster.

Now that he's actually ON the Chiefs' roster, he sucks...

If Gardner pans out, I see Parker starting then sliding into the slot in 3 WR sets.

I see him as a #3 wr, our WR depth blows after our starting 2 and I think Dante is better suited as a #4

To me it depends on who you ask. Is Gardner more physically talented? Yes in my book. Is Gardner better for us right now? Nope.

Guy is dumber then a box of rocks, GB released him was because he couldnt figure out their new offense.(He only had all off season and mini-camps).....

Gardner at his best was certainly better than anything Parker has become at this point but who knows what his story is at this point after not sticking with Carolina or GB. If he is staying in top shape I think it is a solid pickup cause our WR's currently offer very little.

Gardner definitely has/had much better hands than Slime-O.

I'd actually like to see Webb start over parker...
I've never been sold on him.
He can't catch and when I mean, "can't catch" I mean he's the rb in high school everyone made fun of because of his hands.

The guy plain out sucks... a couple of good plays don't disregard the fact either.

I cringe everytime he has the ball in his hands because he's fumble prone also.
I think his hands are too small for NFL or his body for that matter.

Samie Parker had a great preseason and was the victim of overzealous officiating yesterday.

Rod Gardner is a journeyman reject

I'll stick with Parker

Garner was still a free agent after opening weekend of the season. If he's so good, why did 32 teams not bother with him?

Rod Gardner may have been better at one point in time, but I think it's stretch to say he is now.

Still a decent addition. Would have rather done that Stallworth trade, but it's water under the bridge now.

I like the signing. I'm tired of all of our smurf WR's.

That is a fair question...However I think we have a few WR's on our roster that if they were cut there would be 31 other teams that wouldn't have interest in them either....So that brings it to the question is this WR that nobody else wants better than any of the WR's currently on our roster that probably nobody else would want? We will soon find out I suppose.

So much Samie Parker hate.

I think he did a good job of creating separation throughout the preseason and in the game yesterday. I didn't understand the first PI call (didn't see it since he wasn't even involved in the play) and thought the second was ticky-tack. He has improved each year he's been here and as long as we have a capable QB to throw the ball I think he'll have a good season.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. Kennison and Parker are pretty much set. But Dante is the one that is probably going to drop down on the order. Dante needs to step on the field for returns and thats it. Another week like yesterday and I'll be wanting to see someone else back there.

I, too, am tired of seeing Dante on offense.

I thought Saunders was in the booth yesterday when I saw them call a running play for Dante.

we got beat in our 1st game, everyone on this team sucks. trade 'em all! if Trent Green hadn't gone out early, we would be saying get rid of Trent he's too old. TG sucks, LJ has lost his burst, Dante is too short, Turley has a bad back, we are DOOOOMED! I knew I shouldn't have logged on today.

What the hell? How does news like this end up on the 2nd page in just over an hour? I had no idea who you guys were talking about until I looked back a page.

I would LOVE for A.S. to still be in the booth calling plays.

Nothing to lose, and he was reasonably productive at one time. No risk.

There has got to be something wrong with the guy. He hasn't been able to stick on any team. Wasn't everyone here talking trash about Boe getting released by the packers. Rod Gardner was released there also.

The problem with Gardner is his inconsistency and his stone hands.
