Well, his brain is now a lot looser in his head. Whiplash trauma that wouldn't have fazed him badly before now might cause a concussion. If it does reduce the risk, go for it.

The Revs are a lot lighter, and protect your head and jaw a lot better.

The one in the pic is a Revolution helmet. Obviously he would have a facemask more like Manning's.
