I'd love to play, I need a tune-up before the flag football season starts. I'll be out of town this weekend, though. I'll catch you guys next time.

Actually, We can go to the Lee's Summit fields if that's the case.
However, we've never ran into that problem.

I see that you read my post in the other thread. If we start at noon, it'll be alright. They said the cheer station for the Breast Cancer Walk thing is from 11am -2:45. I'm hoping they'll be there closer to 11am (I really need to find out if they have an est. time) so we can say "hey, nice job" and then get over to Raytown South HS. :) And the wife has to be at work at 5, so we'll have to leave around 3. So, it looks like a 12-12:30 start would work out just fine for me.

Sounds to me like your wife has you trained. No man points for you!

Damn, looks like I won't make it, since I'll be out of town.

I really wish that it would be the following weekend (The Chiefs bye week.) I think there'd more interested.

I'll consider it strongly if you get enough to play. My knee feels pretty good. I've been playing everything without a brace and when I twist it, it hurts for a second but I'm no longer "out" for a week. I'd say I'm about 90% at this point.

Not looking too good for the home team.
Just as I figured... Not cool enough probably.

There's something about that fall chill in the air and football that just seems so right.

Coach... I'll be out of town that weekend but I don't mind throwing a thread up for you guys next week.

Well that's a bummer about the next week.

I would be in at a different time. We have our first NFL flag football game at 2pm tomorrow. We picked up all of the kids from t-ball, so we have a team of 6 year olds in a 1st-2nd grade league. It should be a lot of fun, even if we do get spanked.

I still don't see why we don't sticky these. Its the same as any other Chiefsplanet get together. Sometimes people get busy and it falls off the front page when they stop by like me. I didn't see it till now.

No, not really. Did you know that something like 1 in 8 women gets breast cancer in her lifetime. Could be your wife/girlfriend, mom, sister, daughter, etc. Besides, I promised her weeks ago that we'd go over there to support our friends. :) I try not to be in the habit of breaking promises. Trust me, this is supposed to be a compromise. After we go to the breast cancer thing, we would come over to the football game and she would have to sit and watch us play football for 2-3 hours. Most of the time, I drive down to these football games by myself. ;) All that being said.........

Roger, I'm glad that it is a no go this weekend anyways. Earlier in the week, I just had a little sniffles and thought it would be no big deal. The past couple of days, however, it has turned into a full blown bad cold. I wouldn't be any good to play football anyways. Maybe in a week or two.

BTW, I agree that this type of thread should be stickied.
