I alread know the answer to this but here is what happened. My wife was drinking a sugar free Redbull and her boss reprimanded her because it "is a drug and it has tons of caffeine in it. It doesnt look good for the public to see you drinking this stuff on the job!" (she works at the local rec-center) She honestly said that! How IGNORANT do you have to be to realize that almost ALL sodapops have caffeine in them and all the other ingredients in Redbull (taurine, glucuronolactone, mixed B vitamins, caffeine and aspertame) are NOT drugs and are readily available all over the place. My wife was dumbfounded by her bosses statements and didnt really say anything other than "next time I will pour it into a cup then." I went to Redbull.com and it explains all about each and every ingredient and there is nothing narcotic or drug-related about any of the stuff in this drink and as for the caffeine content it states that its about the same as a cup of coffee. Nuts I tell you, this woman is plain nuts. :banghead: :cuss:

Which is like comparing Schlitz to Coors. Both taste like goatpiss.

Why would anyone drink Redbull when not hungover?

You should slap your wife for drinking something that tastes like shit.

Once you're done with that pour some Donkey Kick down her throat and call it a day.

Rooster Booster is another option that can be poured directly down the throat of someone you just slapped around.

Despite the fruity name, BAWLS (a highly caffinated pop) is superior to energy drinks in every way except Red Bull's desire to join with vodka.
The stuff rocks, gives you more than enough caffiene than you humanly should ever need, and tastes good on top of things.

I think the monster brand is the best, they now have a orange juice based energy drink...

Jager's ok..but I prefer vodka.

Redbull is childs play compared to Full Throttle. I had a 16oz Full Throttle with some vodka while playing poker one night, I played till 5AM and was so geeked I couldnt sleep.

Stuff was lethal

I'll try that next time. Been drinking screwdrivers with a little sprite in them lately for some reason, so I have vodka in the house.

I've never even heard of Full Throttle. I'll check it out.

There is another energy/liquor drink, it's in a large can, that actually doesn't taste too bad. I keep wanting to say it's called "sharps" but I don't think that's correct. [/rambling]

If you're calorie conscious, find the sugar free, it's just as good as the regular IMO, but then Ive gotten used to diet everything.

Redbull and vodka is a staple for my late nite poker sessions.

It wasnt until they came out with low acid OJ that I was able to start drinking screwdrivers again...acid reflux...sucks getting old. Never thought of trying sprite in it.

My personal choice for an energy drink is Sobe Energy. 20 oz bottle for less than those others, just as much caffiene along with the "healthy" ingredients and much better taste, IMO. I generally drink one a day.

Dude, get to the doctor and have them get you on a PPI like Nexium or Prevacid. They are a Godsend.

I never really had any interest in energy drinks until the tailgate before the Redskins game last year. jspchief introduced me to Yager bombs. That was actually quite delicious. I never cared for the black licorice flavor of Yagermeister, but it was all right mixed with Red Bull.

You don't think the buttload of caffeine might have something to do with that?

I dont know...most sodas dont actually say how much caffeine is in them. Redbulls website states that it has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee...didnt say how BIG the cup was though.:)

They are all drugs, just some get taxed while the others eat our taxes.

Alcohol is a drug (one of the worst IMO) and they tried to abolish it-with great results such as casino founders. LOL

It just depends on who you ask, really.

Redbulls website states that it has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee...Redbull & Rockstar put guarana in their drinks & then spike it again with caffeine. Guarana is a berry from South America that hops you up bigtime.... smack a pile of caffeine onto that and your heart will try to pump its way out of your ribcage. In Brazil, they sell espresso spiked with powdered guarana - OUCH!

Guarana's active components are guaranine and the alkaloids theobromine and theophylline. Guaranine is almost identical in chemical structure to caffeine and has many of the same effects.

I'm thinking about ordering the wife Redbull & vodkas the next time we go out. There's usually a very fine line between drunk enough to be "in the mood" (and drunk "in the mood" is the best because all inhibitions go away) and drunk enough to barely being able to keep from falling asleep.

I'm thinking that drink might turn that fine line into a something more the size of a football field...

:hmmm:

Been drinking this stuff since high school. If you know it's going to be a long day or night it's quite efficient. They've got the XXL out now too but that's a bit overkill for me.
