out of nowhere, my car break pedal feels spongy, i changed the breaks a couple of months ago and they were fine, this afternoon i get in the car and they feel spongy and have to press the pedal to the floor for them to stop, anyone know what is possibly wrong with them? the brake light on the speed-o-meter is on

Could be the master cylinder. Make/Model?

That's classic wheel cylinder failure. Did you replace those when you relined the brakes?

Go look at the back of the rear wheels for brake fluid, it'll be all over the place if one of the wheel cylinders went bad.

i just moved the car into the gargage before i started this thread and just went back outside to check, there was a poodle where the back tires were, smelt it and it sure enough was brake fluid :banghead: :cuss:

You can buy kits and do it yourself pretty cheap. If you take it somewhere probably around $200.

Are you sure that the poodle just didn't piss on the tire?

So I can use either brake fluid or anti-freeze to get rid of a poodle? Sweet.

I think it comes from bad pronunciation. :)

I will tell you that when it comes to East Coast Poker players there are some real funny (not all in the good way) guys there.

Take the car out on a city street, accelerate to as high a speed as you can, then slam on the brakes...This should "reset" your brakes.

just got the car back from the shop, found out that 3 brake lines snapped caused by being rusty, also while in the waiting room i picked up espn magazine football preview and was skimming through their predictions, while i was reading the falcon preview this stuck out to me im parapharasing a bit but it said FALCONS HAVE MASTERED THE CUT-BLOCK AND ZONE BLOCKING SCHEME, thought that was interesting, isnt the old donkey oline coach in atlanta now?
