I enjoyed my four seasons with the Falcons," Shell said. "I have chosen this time to seek other football opportunities. I am grateful for the time that I spent with Dan Reeves and the Atlanta Falcons organization. Dan and I will remain friends."

Are we on the verge of a mad scramble for coaches and coordinators, poised against Schottenheimer assembling his staff?

If so, who would you rather assist, Gunther 'Mr. Coach Klein' Cunningham, or Marty 'finally get to exercise my motivational skills on a group of pro-bowlers' Schottenheimer?

Johnny - I think you paint it prettier than it is. Marty left here (at least in part) due to the lack of control. I realize that Snyder has made a pretty title for him, but like Alvis Davis and the raiders, he will not keep his hand out of the soup.

Good luck Marty, I am glad you are not in our division, nonetheless, I expect he will continue his barrage of go conservative and lose in the playoffs year after year.

Aahh, the playoffs.
[sighing wistfully. . . faraway stare]

The real question is can Marty win the battle of egos?....Deion, George and most of all Snyder...

But to answer your Question JC, I don't think anyone is going to be beating down the door to coach under Gun...now Shell might be waiting for the call for the HC job here...that I could live with...

notorius Gun, it's from the Waterboy...Mr. Coach Klien exhibited some confusion like another coach we all know and love.
