Listening to Rome,now!
So am I, but I must have missed this.
Was he just speculating the obvious, in light of recent stories, or is this fact?

Say bye, bye to our draft picks and our future!

You can't believe **** Rome says...but I wouldn't doubt the truth in this...with all the stories popping up all over the net...ESPN, MSNBC, CNNSI all what I consider reliable sources, it has to be true...
Funny thing though, they all seem to site the same original story...hope this isn't another wild Dillon chase...
01-04-2001, 11:34 AM
If this is true - who now thinks we will get Dillon or his equivalent?
THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!

01-04-2001, 11:38 AM
WisChief, one thing is for sure, if this is true, regardless of whether we get Dillon or someone like him...RBBC is dead....ding dong the committee is dead, ding dong the wicked committee is dead.... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

What future would have Gunther Cunningham had here? Players were calling him out in the media. And he was clearly dillusional about the state of his team. He didn't know how to gameplan for his life, and I for one, am happy to see him go.
Vermeil knows you need top notch assistant coaches to win in this league. Gunther never figured that out. He would go on loyalty, and that never ever would have gotten him anywhere.
Vermeil also will get a running back in here. You can bet he won't settle on Richardson. He will push CP to make a move for a back.

Don't blame Rome, he's just getting info like us, except he's doing a radio show. If you are familiar with his show, it is based mainly on his opinions, so it's not really a source for news. However, it is safe toassume gunther is fired. No way he's coming back if this Vermiel thing falls through...

According to one of my sources, GUNTHER HAS NOT BEEN FIRED
Cunningham is not even at Arrowhead as 12:45pm CST nor is Carl Peterson.

Marty, what will be Vermeil's compensation?
01-04-2001, 01:07 PM
that is a state secret! Still trying to figure it out but I know on thing, the Rams are pissed right now
01-04-2001, 01:20 PM
i bet they're pissed...one of the few games the chief won, and now they're trying to sign the coach that led them to the superbowl and resigned shortly afterward...
~i like it when the sour grapes are on the other side...
