From his ESPN Insider blog...

By the way, I'm very impressed with the Kansas City Chiefs, despite their 1-2 start. The defense is much, much better. If QB Damon Huard can hold the fort like he did in his last start against the 49ers, the Chiefs could make an impact when Trent Green returns (hopefully).

Seth Wickersham says...

Cardinals 24, Chiefs 20: This is going to be the pick I regret. But the Cardinals are desperate, the Chiefs' O-line is hurting and Matt Leinart always rose to the occasion in college.

At least he knows he's going to be wrong.

He picked the Bucs, the Cards and the Dolphins. I think he's stuck in preseason prediction mode...

speaking of Hoge, the guy picks against the Chiefs every week, no matter what. I'd say he needs his head examined, but that's a bit tasteless.

I'm glad they've pretty much washed their hands clean of Hoge...he was getting way too much air-time last year. I remember that one segment where Stink said the RB position was the easiest position to play, and Hoge fired back with something totally stupid, and then he claimed he was God or something, and then he said something else stupid, man I forget...it was just really stupid. Which makes sense, because it's freaking Merril Hoge.

That shows just how little these people think for themselves. The picks are nearly unanimous for almost every game.

If someone told me I had the choice of watching Merril Hoge on NFL Matchup (if that's still a show) or a 24 hour Roseanne marathon, I'd go with the Roseanne marathon, for sure.

I actually enjoyed that show, in spite of Hoge.

It's not like he even needs to go out on a limb to play catch up, because he's got a solid record at 35-25.

25-35 and I could understand picking different teams.

Of course Freddie Mitchell isn't in the league, and he's terrible, but hey, whatever. Good personality, though.

But also because of Jaws.

We dont even need Mortimers prediction, i just finished a Madden game and KC wins 23-7. LJ gets 127, Huard 13/18, Law & Knight get a pick apiece and Reed collects a sack. The cards td comes on a Huard fumble recovery. See....who needs the "experts".
