View Full Version : A Dick Vermeil-coached team would not have won this game.

I agree. Chiefs would've gotten their asses kicked today if DV were still here. That is because the defense would've still been in the bottom half of the league.

Even though you guys have 50 million posts, you're still totally retarded.

Yeah, a Vermeil coached team never came back from 17 points down in the 4th quarter in Green Bay against a Packers team that would finish 10-6.

Nahhhhhhhhhhhh that never would happen.

this was LJ's worst game as a Chief everThat's what LJ said after the game. "Least productive game I've ever played." Mentioned the fumbles. He went on to say hopefully that last screen pass made up for it a bit.

I was pretty impressed with his comments. He knew he had a shitty day, and he didn't insinuate that it was anyone else's fault.

And he still had 142 total yards and a TD.

And he's still leading the league in yards from scrimmage average.

I think Larry needs to stop worrying about what an opposing defense is going to throw at him and just run pissed off like he did last year.

Say doofus, why not read what I said. I didn't say that you couldn't find a game somewhere where DV had an accident and got lucky, I said it wouldn't have happened today. This team was completely lost in that first quarter. From the games I watched, DV didn't exactly excel at making adjustments. Once his teams lost composure, they usually struggled for the rest of the game. Today they got taken completely by surprise but managed to regain composure and fight their way back into the game and win.

Put DV in there with a backup QB and his main offensive weapon doing nothing, and we would have heard DV talking about how Arizona was a lot better team than what their record going into the game indicated.

BTW, what about Denver last year if you want to throw up games? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=250926007 Had DV actually made some adjustments and gotten his team composed we would have been in the playoffs.

There are several other losses over the last 3 years where we started off down and never could get back into it.

I'm to the point I'm not too sure. LJ seems to have lost some of his fire now that he is the undisputed starter. It is also quite clear LJ is developing a problem holding onto the ball. He CANNOT drop the ball. I can't emphasis enough, he CANNOT drop the ball. LJ needs to work on fundemental ball protecting skills.

Here is what is encouraging about our Herm coached team this year. Even with all the fundamental mistakes, bad luck and missing players, we have been in every game this year. This team could easily be 3-1. As long as this team plays solid defense, we will have a chance in every game. I for one, like what Herm is trying to accomplish.

I don't think this is true...

I think LJ is fine.

If he rushes for 1,500 and adds another 700 through the air, so be it. Obviously our line isn't as good as it was last year, and teams are keying on the run while Green is out (regardless of how Huard is doing)...

Besides, LJ has had a "good" rushing game every game of the year except this one. I thought he was average against San Fran, but he still had 100 yards.

Give me a few weeks before I start to agree with this...

Obviously LJ helps more than he hurts, but turning the ball over is huge... he needs to go to Tiki school.

As much as I hate to say it, cuz that fool is all teeth.

I was doubting it when others were saying it last week as well. Today LJ was held to 36 yards total rushing - 2.2 yards per carry. LJ isn't the same runner he was last year. Last year he was running like he had something to prove. This year he's just running.

Yeah, I always thought his fumbles were flukes...I really did. But I'm starting to buy into the whole "LJ is fumble prone" theory. It took me a while, but I see the light now.

I think he's tough enough on himself that he'll improve, I really do...

Give me two more weeks and I'll form my opinion.

Right now, I'm blaming the line. He seems a bit hesitant, but I might be too, if the whole opposing defense is on the line of scrimmage waiting for me.

I'm a huge LJ fan though, so I can be a bit biased.

He has always been fumble prone even in college. IM hopeing he works on it and improves with time though. Tiki Barber and Ahman Green also had problems with it and they improved as time went on.

I'm a little frustrated with LJ, too. It's not like he's running angry anymore, it's almost like he's pouting until holes start to open. It's not just him, obviously, the blocking hasn't been good, but even so he just doesn't look the same to me right now. He's almost running like I'd expect an entitled star with a big contract, like he's not really in the game 100%.
