Marcus "The Irish Hand Greanade" Davis Vs. Forrest "the Meat Cleaver" Petz http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Forrest_petz_profile.JPG

My pick: Petz. This is a close fight on paper, but Forrest is on quite a roll as of late.

Petz 2nd round TKO

Thiago "Pitbull" Alves http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Thiago.JPG Vs. John "The Natural" Alessio http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/John_Alessio2.JPG

My pick: Pitbull. alves is an increible striker, And Athlete. I like Alessio, But I think alves takes this one.

Alves KO 2nd round.

Rory "Version 2.0" Singer http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Singer2.JPG Vs. Josh "Bring the pain" Haynes[/b] http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Josh_Haynes2.JPG

My pick: Haynes. Rory is good on the ground, But Haynes is a warrior, And has shown that he is never out of a fight.

Haynes by decision.

Tony DeSouza http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/De_Souza2.JPG Vs. Dustin Hazelett http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Dustin_Hazlette2.JPG

My pick: DeSouza. I don't know why we haven't seen this guy fight in the UFc since 2001. He was always very exciting, and talented. I'm glad to see he's back

DeSouza by 1st round submission.

Immaculate
10-09-2006, 02:15 PM
Nate "The Great" Marquardt http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/nathanmarquardt.jpg Vs. Crafton Wallace http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Crafton_Wallace2.JPG

My pick: Marquardt. I think this is more of a showcase fight for Nate. He should be in line for a title shot very soon, So I think the UFC will try to protect him a bit, And maybe throw him in with the loser of the silva/Franklin fight. And then get his title shot

Nate Marquardt by 1st round submission.

Seth "the Silverback" Petruzelli http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Seth_Petruzelli2_profile.JPG Vs. Matt "The Hammer" Hamill http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_16695.jpg

My pick: I'll go with Hamill. This is a tough one to pick. Seth is no pushover. If he hits Matt with his best shot it will be over without a doubt. But on Matt's wrestling ability, And who he's trainning with I will pick him.

Hamill by decision.

Ed "Short Fuse" Herman http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/7490/edat7.jpg Vs. Jason MacDonald http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Jason_MacDonald_profile2.JPG

My pick: Herman. He's coming off of a loss, And is pissed. I'm sure he's been trainning as hard as he ever has, And is going to show it on Tuesday night.

Herman by Ref stoppage in the 2nd.

Immaculate
10-09-2006, 02:16 PM
Kendall "the Spider" Grove http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_10126.jpg Vs. Chris "Exorcist" Price http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/Pictures/Fighter_14121.jpg

My pick: Grove. He is getting better, And better every day. He is one of the tallest guys in the sport let alone 185. trains with a great camp, has incredible stamina and heart. Grove all the way

Kendall Grove by KO in the frist round (Knee)

Expect them thursday or friday.

I hope Anderson wins. I don't like Rich. He's a big bully. He's hughe for 185, And couldn't hack it where he belongs (@205) So he has to rely on his physical dominance over smaller fighters @185 to be a champion. I don't respect that at all.

I think Rich should utilize the going-down-on-one-knee technique so Silva can't kick him in the face. What a great idea!

I'm not sure I agree with you about Rich. If his ideal weight is 205, wouldn't be more of a problem for him to always have to cut the weight before a fight? It seems it would take alot out of him to have to cut weight like that and still perform against another good fighter. If I recall correctly he did pretty good at 205 also. He certainly dominated Shamrock.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Tito or Liddell though.

To say Rich is too big for 185 is a little bit of a reach. Yes, he could compete at 205, and has, but he had a lot of unnecessary mass at 205 and it didn't help his stamina. I just wish the UFC would have kept Woogie and Busta, it would be a much more rounded out division.

Rich is HUGE for 185. He tosses people around like rag dolls. Nobody has ever suplexed as many people as Rich has. He's so much more physicaly dominant than everyone else it's ridiculous. Top level fighters don't have to rely on physical advantages, They fight people thier size, and beat them with skill.

I wanna see if Ortiz faith in the "silverback" is justified, ididnt know what to make of that guy on the show...sometimes thought the guys cracked on him to hard and other times he just seemed thickheaded and brought it on himself.

Ken was great in Pancrase, where there was no striking on the ground. He really used his size and wrestling ability to his advantage. Unfortunately, everyone before 1999 would be considered amatuers skill-wise in todays game.

Kinda sad.....

It's just time to quit. He should have done it earlier for the best interest of his school. Since legalizing it out here there are MMA places springing up all over the place. There are probably 10 within a 10 square mile radius of where I am sitting right now. One closed and moved down south 2 weeks ago. We got a bunch of their fighters. One of them really ****ed up my neck Friday. It was my fault though I don't know why I don't just tap in training like I should. Now I am all jacked looking at a jiu-jitsu tournamnet on the 21st.

Ortiz would have come out of this whole thing looking like the man of the year if he had only laid the beating down (like everyone knew he would) and then stepped back and waited for Ken to look stupid. Instead, Tito goes into his antics and Ken comes out looking like the bigger man. Too bad for Tito, missed a golden opportunity.

It wasn't exactly a risky call.....Ortiz is younger, stronger, and had dominated him twice before. Shamrock should have retired a few years ago.

I don't know. It's not like he doesn't do that schtick after every fight. It's kind of his "signature", so I don't really blame him for it. I don't like it because it reminds me too much of wrestling, but it wasn't something just for Ken.

At the same time, just because Ken says he wants too bury the hatchet doesn't mean Tito should just "forgive 'n forget". Ken really showed himself to be an ass during TUF (I know, Tito always was one), but now he wants to smooth it all over like nothing ever happened.

If you ask me, it took a lot of patience for Tito to "smile for the cameras" afterwards. You could tell he wanted nothing to do with the make-up. I have a feeling Dana White and Ken set this up to make everything "hunky dory" for Ken's retirement, and Tito was basically forced to go along with it.

They only showed 4 fights...

Matt Hammil - Decision (Seth looked a lot better than his TUF showing)
Kendall Grove - Don't remember (fight with wife, will hit TIVO later, wife won by TKO)
Tito Ortiz - Stoppage (pretty much the same as last time)
Jason MacDonald - Submission (best fight of the 4 shown, by far)

The only really good fight I saw was the Herman - MacDonald fight. I have never seen MacDonald before, but he looked absolutely incredible. Herman looked good too, they were both throwing each other around reversing positions a lot. At the end though, MacDonald had Herman in several different submission holds while elbowing him pretty good. I'd like to see this guy again, very impressive.
