Holy crap. Salisbury just did 30 seconds of coverage or Wesley knocking the Bouldin pass loose and called him "David" no fewer than 3 times.

"Knock it out David!"

Heard that last night.

It's a pretty good indication of how bad your defense has sucked when analysts don't know a 7 year vet's name.

:)That's kind of the point... he has to "learn about" a guy that has started in the NFL for over 6 years. If our defense had been worth a squirt of piss over those 6 years, I think he might already know our safety's name without studying up.

He gets PAID to KNOW professional football. There's no excuse for not knowing a starter.

It was especially funny because he's pointing out what an outstanding play it was, but still manages to get the name wrong.

(It's on a Sportscenter segment called "Turning Points" if anyone cares.)

I saw it this morning, and had the same reaction. How the hell do you NOT know the starters name...then he repeats it like 3 or 4 times...pissed me off. Not a good way to start the day.

Hell, on MNF fastest 3 minutes, the only friggin highlight ESPN showed of the AZ game was Lienart's first TD...Berman said "in a game where AZ almost beat the Chiefs..."

...assholes...

ESPN for a first name? What a dipshit.

Salisbury is consistently among the most ill informed of the talking heads in sports. I'd say Hodges is his only true rival.

Salisbury is one of the biggest loudmouth douches in sportscasting. Last year i got so sick of his azz i e-mailed ESPN telling him in effect to "shut the hell up and that pencil neck Clayton is a far better journalist then sally EVER was playin' QB". Hope he got it............

These tards know what comes up on the teleprompter. Blame the guy that wrote the text.

We see what happens without the teleprompter when they call games. According to Theisman, for example, the A's and Tigers are playing in Game 1 of the "ACLS" tonight. :shake:

Yep, that pissed me off too. We are going to have to earn their respect. The talking heads all got whiplash when the 2003 Chiefs Bandwagon crashed.
