Jay Glazer (http://www.kffl.com/link/14), of FOXSports.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/189), reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl) DL Anthony McFarland (http://www.kffl.com/player/1808/nfl) is reportedly available at the trade deadline. Seven different teams have said McFarland has been offered by the team. One general manager in the NFC claims the team is asking for a first-day draft pick in exchange for McFarland.

Talk about a perfect fit.

Uh, that would be sweet.

Yup. I agree. No higher than a 2nd rounder and that depends on his contract situation.

Is he worth a 3rd rounder?

I wonder why TB is looking to move him?

Injury issue? Cap number too high?

Booger sucks, he isn't any better than Edwards. McFarland isn't even better than Chris Hovan, who is average. Booger is way overpaid as well. The Bucs run defense sucks for a reason. He isn't worth anything more than a 5th or 6th rounder.

I don't know man...

I like to grow our own players, if you know what I mean. Look what happened to the Colts with Simon. I prefer building a team through the draft, and if we were to acquire a big name defensive player, I rather do it in the offseason instead of the middle of the season.

Yeah, I don't know if there's really any evidence to support it but I get the sense that Herm will be much, much better at developing young talent then his predecessor...

After todays DT play, I'd be willing to pull the trigger on Booger.

No. We've done enough trading away draft picks for older players. Not to mention the fact that DT's are one position where guys that change teams almost ALWAYS fail.

We have too many holes to trade away picks. In fact, we should be trading guys to GET picks...

That was prolly a knee-jerk response for my part, i think you are right, for whatever reason DT's do have a high failure rate after trades.

Dude is a big (literally and figuratively) underachiever.

I think he's a solid DT, but not spectacular. Probably better then half the DTs on our team.

I'm not sure he's worth a first day pick though, especially at his age.

Has there ever been a team that has struggled more to fill a position? We should have blown up the market pursuing Rocky Bernard.

I actually have heard from Seahawk fans that Bernard is playing poorly this year.

I couldn't agree more. With Willie Roaf and Priest gone, and Will Shields, Trent Green, Tony Gonzalez, Patrick Surtain, and Ty Law coming to the end of their careers, we need more draft picks not less.

Booger is overated. Most Buc fans feel this way as well from what I've seen.
He was an asset when he played in tandem with Sapp. I'd be happy to see him go but I don't believe we have the option to unload him cap-wise.
