Webb on kickoffs and Kennison on punts?

It will be interesting to see if Webb uses this opportunity to establish himself....

The only advice I would give him is forget the juking....run vertically all day long.

I loved the way Webb returned last week.

I can only handle so much of Dante Hall bouncing back and forth without so much as looking for the wedge. Webb caught the ball, found the wedge and ran at it. It reminded me a little of the way Vanover did it. It was great.

Kennison probably won't break one, but he'll field them all well and probably get us a few 10 yarders or so.

I can live with that arrangement.

Bob Dole assumes it's the hip pointer from last week.

I don't know why Webb can't get a shot at punts, too. Kennison doesn't really look like a threat.

As for receiver, I'd like to see more of both Gardner and Webb.

I'm curious as to why Webb would return KOs and Kennison the punts. Can someone explain the logic of this to me? Why not allow Webb to return them all?

Punts are more difficult to field.

As long as Webb doesn't do an impersonation of Larry Parker vs the Colts I'll be happy. Dante fumbles every other game and to be honest hasn't really brought a lot to the table since the 2003 season.

They probably are more comfortable with Eddie's hands, and decision making. It is alot more difficult to return punts than kickoffs, and Webb is a rookie. that's my guess.

Punts are more difficult to field.

Absolutely.

With Herm putting field position at a premium, we absolutely cannot afford a dropped punt.

That's one of the most painful plays in football. I would put ball security over Webb's upside potential 10 times out of 10.

Ah. Thanks, Mr. Bob Dole. Another example of what ChiefsPlanet can do to improve a person's football knowledge. I'm assuming then, that the staff feels that Eddie's experience trumps Webb. Probably true.

This is a good thing. Dante is to full of himself and tries to do to much.

Step off the iceburg of strange opinions and back into the igloo of sanity, Mr. penguinz. It's true that Dante was overreaching last year. But, it's not as if he isn't about to break the record for all time returns for touchdowns or anything.

Sure, we can't risk a dropped punt. But can we risk our #1 receiver getting blasted on a meaningless punt?
