If Carl follows through on his promise to retire at the end of this contract extention, does Clark Hunt go outside the organization and start fresh with a new GM?

Or does he promote one of Carl's lackeys and continue Carl's legacy of mediocrity?

I hear Terry Bradway is available.

Probably keep it in the family since Carl has done such a great job.

So you're thinking that Hunt will hire one of Carl's lackeys?

Carl has run that team since I was 26 years old. My only hope is that Carl will pass away before I do.

Clark will stay in house. Basically, we're screwed.

..and here I thought I could never imagine what it would be like to be a Cubs fan.

Can I hope that he gets attacked by a vampire or werewolf or something? Can one of them kill him?

Vampires and werewolves are Carl's minions.

You can hope a priest performs an exorcism.

I'd imagine, however, some have already tried.

I'd bet on Carl having significant input into who is successor is going to be... which means a Carl lackey is likely.

I'd expect plenty of Rufus articles pimping the likes of Denny Thum or Terry Bradway as GM, beginning in 2008 or so.
