We arent making the playoffs this season. Our division is too good. SD and DEN are so much better than us at this time. DEN is a much better team now than they were when we played them in week 2 and SD is a better team than DEN. With the stupid playcalling and if our defense keeps breaking down like this, at best we finish 8-8 and thats me being nice and homerish about it.

I actually think we can win next weekend. We're going to be motivated, and San Diego will playing their 2nd road game in two weeks, much like we were today, although that 1st road game today wasn't much of a contest.

But still, this is the exact same situation as last year. We got embarrassed on national TV, against the Giants, didn't look like we could tackle a pee-wee team. Then we had a much-hyped Chargers team coming into Arrowhead playing their 2nd road game in two weeks, and we dominated them. We're faced with pretty much the exact same situation, except today it was the Steelers. I would not be surprised one bit if we won next weekend. Doesn't mean we'll even make the playoffs but a win wouldn't surprise me.

10-15-2006, 09:15 PM
Sure, why not? If the Chiefs can still mathematically make the playoffs I'll still hold out hope. Sheee-it. It'll take more than a blowout to a defending super bowl champ on the road to make me pull my allegiance.

After an embarrasment like today, it may seem an odd time to be optimistic--but you'd hope they can learn from it....and if we DO make it to 4-3, by beating SD and Seattle at Arrowhead, anything can happen....:hmmm:

You gotta believe. :)

I dont see how you can say we have a chance beating Sd this team has shriveled up every time we play big competition, at home or away.

the chiefs are a completely different team at home.

i sincerely believe they can beat anyone there.

then, they can beat the rams, because that will pretty much be a home game.

and then they should certainly beat the dolphins and raiders.

so yeah, they should be winning a few games over the next few weeks.

Even after today, I think 10-6 is still doable....but that doesn't mean much considering they may miss the playoffs again. 11-5 is possible IF they can get, and stay healthy.....but I'm not betting any big money on it.

The key to making the playoffs is this: win out at Arrowhead and play .500 on the road. If we can do that we should be fine. Outside of the Chargers, our road schedule is pretty friendly - Rams, Dolphins, Browns, Raiders. And the tough games are all at Arrowhead, where we are a pretty good team. Not saying we are a playoff team but this year the Chiefs schedule may help them.

Save me a seat, KC will play well and beat SD at home, we will play like a cornered, wounded beast IMO. Seattle will be without Jason Alexander when they show up to...so that bodes well. 4-3 is very possible. As for you florida donko, you had your lil' hee-hee Sunday...now its time to shut your pimple faced pie hole..fly right or get the f*ck out, you are lookin' just like the troll you claim not to be...dont get me started........
