If you know anything about Digital Cameras, that is.

Dude at work offered me this camera, for 100 dollars. Is it worth it?

Camera Info here (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0407/04070702dimagez10.asp)

I was looking for a digital camera, but I only wanted to spend about 175. The last one I had I spent 275 for and it was "too much camera" for me; I don't take many pictures. Only thing is, I wanted to get audio for filming, so I wouldn't have to also buy a Camcerder.

What do you think?

Offer him $3.2 dollars for his 3.2 megapixels.

If he doesn't take it...kick him in the nuts and take it from him.

ebay had some used for approx $30. Don't know how used. Had some refurb for $130. One refurb for $230 [good luck with that].

You guys saying that it isn't worth it? I mean, I have seen this camera's results - it takes very good pictures and, like I said, I don't need it for much.

It looks to be an ok deal, but I wouldnt want to hold that thing up to my face.

I mean, at least the people you are photographing will be smiling.

Sorry, I can't help but laugh when I look at that camera, why is is shaped so oddly?

$100 is only $30-50 off normal price, http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=DiMAGE+Z10&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title

$100 is in range of what uBid.com has similar MP cameras at though I suppose:

But then you cant take adorable pictures quite as massive as this one!!

If you're wanting audio, this one doesn't have it, according to the product discription in your link. Also, 3.2 megapixels is pretty much obsolete technology. Even the cheaper cameras nowadays are doing 6 and 7 megapixels at least. For the price range you're willing to spend, you can get a lot better than that. I bought a Polaroid digicam last year for about $125. It wasn't fancy to look at, just a big square box with a lens and couple buttons, but it was 5 megapixels and had movie recording with audio. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the model was, as I no longer have it (it burnt out after about eight months of use - but I use digicams a lot, several times a day, for work, so an average user probably would have gotten three or four years out of it).
